  • It's easy to make HD videos due to the lowering prices of equipment - says the guy that uploads a video in 240p lol.

  • 0:34 Wow Kipkay is really young

  • if you have a popular video that is a music video and you state that you dont own the rights to it are you able to still get revenue for them?

  • what about revver?

  • 50/50 revenue share model....

  • Also, do not use copyrighted materials in your videos. This should already be an obvious thing, but when you are trying to make money this is a quick way to get in serious trouble.

  • Don't use copyrighted material unless you have the rights to use it in a contract.

But those rights are hard to get. Unless you're a Hollywood Producer

  • FYI...the producers rewards program with Metacafe is dead. Not only that are you aware about a class action lawsuit that is pending against them?

  • Last we checked it seemed to be up. How long ago did this occur?

  • Metacafe phased out the program last month. And I just found out about a pending class action lawsuit against them yesterday. They are great for publicity and getting your videos seen, however don't expect to make money with them anymore as a idependent video creator. I have a blog about the death of metacafe at my chappyshowcase blogspot.

  • Yes it appears that they have just made the announcement. The last day the program is active will be June 30. They are no longer accepting videos, but ones that have been previously involved in the program will still receive "rewards."

  • Yeah...but they are paying a CPM of $2 now. And international views don't count. So those producers (like myself) are not jumping through hoops about the arrangement. This news about still recieving "rewards" sounds false. Unless they changed their minds all of a sudden. Payouts were supposed to be ending indefinately. Just read their old announcement on their site.

  • Correction, that is those involved with the "rewards" program will continue to be paid for their videos until June 30.
