My small knowledge of physics lets me understand how the trick is supposed to work. The refractive index of glass makes it almost invisible in water, same as perspex. The guy who did the other video of cutting glass underwater simply switched the glass for perspex and cut that into a rounded corner.

hmm, your experiment is flawed. First off, you don't see it but when you cut the glass "dry" you are making micro fractures in the glass. You actually make the glass more weak. Because of that, it makes your "wet" cutting experiment flawed, and uncontrolled. I also noticed that on one underwater experiment part of the glass is above water. To work, the entire glass needs to be under water. If you don't understand why water effects glass, then you don't understand that glass is a slow liquid.
