The pictures are good. But the poetry is better, worth learning German just to comprehend it in its original language and intended meaning. Truly amazing.
To answer several questions and respond to some statements :
1 ) The book is in German.
2) The pictures are meant to create an atomosphere of isolation, and showing a dummy come to life is supposed to represent someone truly awakening. There is meaning to the pictures.
