    Are they still playing ?

  • @daniel777891 yep! saw ween and gene ween solo last year

  • I really wanna play this for people who actually like country. I wonder what they'd think.

  • @Taintmash It was produced by Ben Vaughn with Nashville session musicians. I'm pretty sure they'd think it's legit. Unless, of course, they're into that crossover country shit. Then it might leave them cold.

  • @Taintmash yes, this retro-country fan loves it. don't know about the crossover crowd, though.

  • @Taintmash I "actually like country" and I love what Ween did with this album, good music is good music

  • and I took some money from your purse.....

  • 1 person is a teetolaller.

  • Not sure why it says 12 country greats when there's only 10 songs on the album and when they remade it why did they take Ali out of Powder Blue I wonder? Those crazy guys.

  • @iswisscheese They worked with twelve well known Nashville studio musicians, so they were referring to them as the "country greats."

  • ween always make me fill better & smile

  • how don't these guys have more views? one of the best country songs i know.

  • Wow. and Eric Clapton lead me here..... weird....... do not really have a comment I guess. not sure what to think. spend the dog food money? I can imagine this is fun bar music. hope that is not insulting... but, I can imagine going out and enjoying this music.... It brought a smile to my face on a day that was covered in frowns...:) thanks

So where does this group come from? Sure sounds like it from my very own weird city......

  • @NeverEverForgotten New Hope, Pennsylvania

  • @NeverEverForgotten you lucked out. ween rules my ass. this is a joke album btw.

  • @NeverEverForgotten Dude, listen to more of their music and you'll see they're not meant to be taken seriously. They have a song called "Where's the Cheese", for God's sake. Go listen to it! :D

  • @NeverEverForgotten Actually, I think I typed the title wrong, but whatever.

  • "I need whiskey to ease the pain!" Amen

  • Country Academy Rulz! xD

  • scape bitch!!!

  • why cant they write painfully literal songs like lady gaga and drake ha

  • never thought of it that way.must be mucus on my brain.

  • :) All the videos on this site always have some mean ass comments and insults and people that can't spell...NOT A WEEN VIDEO!!!! Most of us use our brains enough to appreciate this band and be able to spell simple words! Yay!

  • @rothkappchen the mainstream childrens brains are caked in mucus

  • i hope ween lives forever and never stops making music.

  • Fuck Nickelback and the mainstream garbage that is shoved down our throats by the Government. Screw that shit yo

  • i think i'll spend the dog food money...

Ween is coming to the NW May 31st -

  • I have to poop

  • I guess its something in my brain,

I need a wake n bake to ease the pain....

  • God damn I love Ween

  • Ween!

  • According to Wikipedia, either the 12 in the title refers to the number of musicians appearing on the album or it means there were 2 other trax recoded which were demo-quality and din't make the cut. A lot of people think Ween were just being smartasses.

  • I believe the song Booze Me Up and Get Me High (one of my favorites) was supposed to be on this album, and odds are knowing the band's reputation, there were a good handful of other songs that didn't make the cut.

  • Booze Me Up is one of my all-time faves, too, especially the "Live at Stubb's" version. They do weird songs as well as they do their country rockers. <3

  • @blackestcracker In fact, the song Booze me Up And Get me High was never on the demos to this album, so i think its for another album.

  • @blackestcracker hey man actually booze me up was originally intended for the mollusk album, if im not mistaken the two songs cut from this album are "sorry charlie" and "i got no darkside" both really great tracks

  • Comment removed

  • I pitch huge tent poles bb

  • I can just imagine. "Country Academy? Where's that? What's JO?"

  • The great thing about 12 golden country greats is it only had 10 songs on it!

  • Thanks for the insight!!

  • I'm loving this song, but can anyone help me with the Frenchman reference? I don't get it.

  • maybe they just knew a Frenchman who liked to party ? !

  • @russelljenkinsfearn no idea, go ask gener

  • Best song ever! Really! No, really! I really mean it. seriously, without a doubt

  • Country Academy Forever.

  • Long live JK2/JK3 DAYS!

  • roas2 this is why i looked up the song =D

LONG LIVE JA/JO DAYS AND THIS SONG

  • this music used to be on a custom map on jedi knight: jedi academy it was epic xD

  • Yeah, Country academy was one of the best maps ever.. probably top 5 or 10 don't you think?

  • @roas2 Haha your right, I remembered the lyrics on the map and looked it up on google, that's how I got here. :P

  • @roas2 Piss of, it was on JKO first.

  • @roas2 also on jedi knight: jedi outcast. the map is country academy.

  • @roas2 I KNOW!! When Pigs Fly FTW!!!

    MAP: Country Academy

  • @roas2 It still is, That's what sent me here.

  • @roas2 It still is! :D

  • @roas2 The map your talking about is Country Academy

  • @roas2 Good 'ol times. Wasn't it Jedi Knight 2? Was it like a barn with a chicken on the roof that could launch you very high?

  • @roas2 Haha Yessir.

  • Yeah It does blow my mind that these guys aren't bigger than they are. The masses prefer Nickleback and Good Charlotte or Soulja boy to this??!!

  • The Canadian government has appologized many times for Nickelback. They're a national fucking embarassment.

  • why do you say that?

  • Do I really have to explain myself?

  • Well, there a really successful Canadian band i don't see why you would hate on them.

  • Um..Good Charlotte? They're hardly relevant on a mainstream level anymore.

You sound like that old guy that's always at concerts in the present day, drunkenly slurring about how "this here beats the crap out of that there Limp Bizkit bullshit that's popular."

  • I was just listing a few shit bands off the top of my head that have reached mainstream success. The point I was making was how shameful it is that garbage music is very popular, while Ween doesn't get the accolades it deserves. I know Good Charlotte isn't ragingly popular in 2009, but most people know who they are(I've never even heard one of their songs and I know who they are). You sound like a guy who has poor reading comprehension skills.

  • Oh no, your intentions were very clear. The execution was just lacking.

  • @DamonIcke dude.. the masses consume what companies tell them to, they have no choice but to like that shit. If Ween became super popular, companies would take less than a day to come up with a shitty copy of the band and would do everything possible to shove it down people's throats

  • @DamonIcke I like it better that they aren't bigger. More room in 400 person clubs for us nuts

  • @DamonIcke Yes, there is no justice in life. And because of this fact I am gonna jack my dick until my balls drop off. You may think that this is an odd reaction to the aforementioned fact, but to my mind it is a perfectly normal reaction.

  • @DamonIcke Dude, are you serious? i know you typed this like a year ago, but all the pop music you mentioned was popular like FOUR YEARS AGO! What kinda retards do you know?...

  • @unplannedautopsy I don't really know anyone who likes that stuff. I was just naming random shitty artists who aren't half as good as Ween. I don't follow those groups and have no idea what going on the radio. Sorry. Are those people no longer making music?

  • @DamonIcke Were they ever making music?

  • @unplannedautopsy

dude are you serious? who listens/pays attention to pop music?

  • @DamonIcke

the masses aren't to durn smart

  • @themoonsbluelight was the incorrect form of *too part of the joke?

  • @DamonIcke

be honest, how long did it take you to really LOVE ween?

    i needed about a year.

  • @wefkr

Same here. I started listening to them off and on for almost a year, then one day it just clicked in and I couldn't stop listening.

  • @wefkr Probably a year. Almost everyone has songs they like immediately, but Ween are so eclectic people struggle to see the coherence, and brilliance, between songs and albums. I think it starts to click when people become familiar with Gene and Dean individually and see what connects all the dots together. Until people get that there may as well be a 100 different singers. Put on a song they've never heard and they won't even realize it's Ween.

  • @DamonIcke let's just leave it that way. crowd sizes are just fine how they are. it would be a little uncomfortable to see a good charlotte t shirt in the crowd.

  • @DamonIcke look at it this way, they have a big fanbase, but if they had hit it big they wouldve gone mainstream and bin as shitty as nickelback and soulja boy...-_- i cant believe i just typed that asshats name....so its better of they didnt go big.

  • i need wishkey to ease the pain!!! when i blow my brains out it will be to this song yee haw!!!!

  • These guys are crazy talented...and also just crazy.

  • I can't wait to go see them at Voodoo in New Orleans.

  • yeah mang, I feel very related to this song, every human has mucus they need to scrape off there brain!!!!

  • LOL...

  • i have been searching for this song for five years. awesome.

  • Here in America we have these things called 'record stores'.

  • and a record store is really helpful when you don't know the name, artist or lyrics of the song. =] but, y'know, go america.

  • HELL YEAH DUDE, I LOVE THIS SONG!!

  • good drinking music

  • Ohyeaahe!

  • hell yeah dude, i love this song!!!!
