Oh give me a break! The romance between those two were bloody forced and didn't make sence at all! Squall gets to disk 3, when shes in a coma, and realises JUST THEN that he loved her!? He was the guy who, not so long ago, wanted to LEAVE Rinoa hanging from the side of Garden, awaiting her death, because there were more important matters to attend to then saving her. I don't care if the relationship is meant to be some symbolic thing, it is totally crap.

@Seniarth No. It is just plain bad story writing, whether he doesn't tell his feelings or not he didn't even tell his feelings TO HIMSELF, that is just plain crappy story writing, he was ALWAYS doing those 'thought' conversation things with himself, he didn't even tell HIMSELF that he liked her till the third disk, if he was THAT sure of his feelings he would of at least thought it, we, as a player didnt even see it. So no, bad writing only on this game.

Ya, I actually agree on that one.. to me the fact that the characters were all from the same orphanage was kind of a stretch.. but still I didnt notice anything weird about Squall having feelings towards Rinoa.. but now that you mention it, the game really didnt say anything about Squall liking Rinoa... Also, the game never explicitly mentions that Laguna is Squall's father but in this case, the game does give big hints so that the player can assume clearly..

As a hardcore veteran of the Final Fantasy series, I can tell you that this is where the series started going downhill. The games always put an emphasis on the troubles of a group adolescents trying to save the world, but as the series progressed, these characters became less likable. Now we see a bunch of tacky, shallow, androgynous character running around with problems that are focused more on their own teen dramas than any sort of complex history of suffering.

Final Fantasy VIII, in my opinion has the best graphics. I like these graphic better than XIII's, but this video has such crappy quality. I think FF8 was a pretty horrible game. I connected a lot with Squall but all the other characters were horrible (not as bad as the motley crew in XIII though), the plot wasn't that good. I don't Rinoa but I don't like her, but I love Eyes on Me, even though the song it actually about Laguna and Julia. FF8 just wasn't a good game, especially the plot.

There was a time when i never had friends and i had the same hair long(like people called it then) like Squall did. but thanks to the game i made it trough school. There's an easy strategy to beat the weapons, but it wont all fit into a YouTube comment, just google FFVII Weapon Bosses and their are some good guides on how to defeat them with ease :) Good luck!

I can beat ultimate weapon and of course diamond cause you need to in order to advance the story. I took your advice and looked on how to beat ruby, but everyone that does it has KOTR materia. Is there a way to beat it without KOTR cause I suck at breeding chocobo's and killing ruby is the only way for me to get a gold chocobo.

I' m sorry, but the only way I know how to do it is the KOTR. Getting a Golden Chocobo isn't difficult, it's just time consuming and can be annoying.

I'm sure there is a way to do it without KOTR for sure, I just don't know how, sorry :(
