did you get your haircut before or while at boot camp. did many girls that cut their hair before have to get it cut again on arrival and did the females that went through boot camp have their nails cut and polish removed.

I have a few more questions, what is an acceptable pushup to do on the pft? For the first 10 pushups I do, my back is straight, and my arms do get at 90degrees. But after the 10, I kinnda arch my back a little. Would they accept that? And how bad is the yelling? I'm kinnda nervous about that also, I have a feeling I would start shaking

The push ups are evaluated by other recruits in your division, so i wouldn't worry too much about that. As for the yellling.. it takes a bit to get used to but, as long as you do what you are told and you do it quick, you won't have any problem at all.

Were you in great shape before you left for bootcamp? Did you pass the 1st PFA? I leave in a few weeks, my pushups are good but my situps and running Is horrible. I can only do about 30 situps

Let's just say I wasn't in the best shape before I left.. I still hate running with every fiber of my being... but yes, with some forced effort I did pass my first PFA and every one since then. You will do fine, I promise. And believe me, if I can get through those two months, literally anyone can.

Not gonna lie... I hate running with a passion, so I try to avoid it at all costs... but they do a really good job of keeping you in shape and getting you to push your hardest to reach your goal. It's not going to be easy, but I promise it gets better. Just keep your head up and don't get discouraged with all of the yelling. It's only 2 months and it goes by faster than what you think. Let me know how everything goes!

My husband is leaving for boot camp on the 25th of this month. I'm just curious as to how much contact i'll have with him. Will he be able to call? Write? I'm due to have our second baby in December and he's most likely going to miss it so not being able to communicate is my biggest fear.

@CrystalVlog calls will be less often than writing. depending on how well his division does is how often they get phone calls. you can write to him as soon as you find out what division he is in.. most likely the second week you'll be able to send him regular letters.

The food huh... well, it is pretty much amazing. I don't think I ate that well in a while. And be sure to eat as much as you can in the little amount of time that you get to eat, because they will work you till exhaustion.

Hi, im leaving for the navy feb.22nd and i was just wondering about some things that i could or couldnt bring to bootcamp..

Did you try and bring any make-up?...i know that i wouldnt be able to wear it everyday obviously but i was just wondering for like when you eventually have your pictures done..
