I'm almost 99% certain the kid who appears in this commercial is named Kizan - he was in my class in Grade School in Tokyo between 1981-83 (4th and 5th Grades), and sat next to me in class.

Very expressive kid, bad student, but great actor - half Nepali, half Japanese...

When I visited his place, I couldn't believe all the gattai-sets he had! He had so many!!!! I remember him mentioning he was in commercials for them so got them free, but told me not to tell anyone at school about it...LOL!

@pistachioguy I've found China & Korea,etc anime over the years like TAE-KWON V/ VOLTAR, MAZINGER 3,MAZINGER 7,MAZINGER V,MAZINGER X, PHOENIX KING, FALCON 7, GOLDWING 123, SUPER FLY DRAGON, MASTERS OF THE FUTURE,etc,but has anyone ever seen a Asian VOLTES V remake called TONGA? I got the toy & its a recolored&remolded VoltesV but with3 V's on the chest. It could be only a toy but I have robot toys from the other anime titles I have mentioned before, so there may well be an anime too for TONGA.

Because i was so obsessed with Voltes V, I stole 500 pesos from my mother so i could buy Voltes V robot at COD (1979).. unfortunately the price of the toy increased to 560 pesos(due to demands).. i was 60 bucks short. I ended up buying Dunguard Ace instead huhuhuhu!

the godaikin version however which is from 80s is a highly collectable I use to own it myself when im in grade school damn my mum gave it to charity when I no longer playing it and now it cost about 3-5 thousand usd shit shit shit

the 5th and the 6th commercials of this show was so funny.The kid was asking the Voltes V toy that Do u have muscles?and then the toy said that I am made of die-cast metal(chogokin)the kid was actually shocked and it was so funny HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA(20 times)and I coul'nt stop laughing HA(10 times)lol

actualy it first on in the 1980's and then it was played again in the 90's. i know because my dad use to watch it =)

It was first shown in 1979 (I was 11 back then and all kids in the Philippines were crazy over it), then in 1986 (IIRC), and finally in 1997.
