The Official Second Season Of The Lucy Show is being released on DVD July 13, 2010! So everyone go out and buy it so that the third season is released quickly!

The physical comedy was funny, but I always enjoyed the lines between the characters on I Love Lucy best. I think the same writers wrote for this show, but the lines weren't as good, so I think they went for the physical comedy more on this show. The last part with the "Looney" was pretty funny though!!

The Lucy Show is finally getting an official release from paramount on July 21st, 2009!

I love seeing these Lucy Show clips again..Lucy Carmichael was tolerable until Viv left as a regular, then when she became Mooney's secretary Lucy's character just starting becoming so much more ditzier and less sexy -- not Lucille Ball, but rather Lucy Carmichael. I wish they'd have given her a steady boyfriend or something, to keep the glamour/flirting aspect of her character on a regular basis (I read that Lucille didn't want that for the character on that show, though).

Lucille Ball didn't want a regular boyfriend or husband for her TV character because she thought the Lucy/Desi image was too strong in peoples' minds and they wouldn't accept her with anyone else. Even when Lucy went out on dates, there was never any real intimacy depicted -- no real affection or kissing. As for Viv, Lucy never tried to fill the void left by her departure. Maybe she was just being sentimental, but she expressed that she didn't think Vivian was replaceable, so didn't try.
