@DCCCLoyal no way, not that high, definitely not. The minister on this show appears to be responsible for the prisons in the state. The home secretary is responsible for law and order amongst other things, imagine having to inform him everytime a prisoner escaped.. no, will never happen
This is the era of prisoner we have sadly reached...a bad one. The alleged protagonist group i.e. Alice and co cheer as their friend has to face a certain life sentence AFTER rape too, and yet the voices of reason come from the show's villian Kath.
This is why the show died, terrible characters like Alice were brought to the front in place of good strong new characters. None of them arw worthy of even being part of the same show Bea and Myra were
@u2atomicbomb I think that the very fact that things were not so black and white was a good thing. If anything it added a level of realism to the show and prevented becoming a comic book Good vs Evil.
@KHoled666 I agree that diametric opposition is a bad way to illustrate good/evil but the blurred grey in the middle of the black and white has been done before with greater success in prisoner notably Bea who was the protagonist and defender of the weak but also had great flaws and misjudgments which made her complex. Here no such complexity is established, all we see is Alice "fell into the good camp to give me something to do" Jenkins being a selfish idiot in the face of her friend's trauma
Good on ya, Lorelei!!!
