and it is, mainly becuase Agrnetine and Brazilians are the main soccer fan si nthe whole world, though i have been to a River Boca and to a classic a u said in brazil, but the one in argentina is ven better

Both teams are like Mafias... they are gigantic, the have over 10 M fans... and they are involved in gigantic fights which i have not seen ever before...

There's also Atlético x Cruzeiro in Minas Gerais and Gremio x Internacional in Rio Grande do Sul...these derby's are equaly big here...

one more thing , i'm not saying derby's are bigger in Argentina or Brazil but one things for sure...no other derby in Europe can beat the derby's from south america...its a fact , only southamericans undertand the real essence of the game...sorry fellas =]

well i believe there´s no such thing as "biggest soccer derby (classico) in the world" , every coutry or region has its big game , all though River X Boca is considered by far the biggest of Argentina , wich is a country with great tradicions in soccer , such as my country , Brazil but here we don't have the biggest derby of the country , each state has its derby's like here in Rio its Vasco x Flamengo or in São Paulo Corinthians x Palmeiras...
