Great sound. I have truck with 235 ci. I replaced the coil and resister and the coil heats up. Im running 16 guage wires to the distributer. Any tips on why the coil is heating up? I also mounted it on the firewall away from the engin block.

If it's a 235, it's not the original engine for this truck.

@PistolPete2 where did it mention what year, and model truck it was, im havign a hard time trying to figure out if this had this engine as an OEM or not.

what brand of intake is that? I've seen offys, howard, fenton, all kinds, but that one is new to me. Man I love that sound too.

i had a 1957 chev 235 in 1966 when i was 19..sounded like that when th exhaust pipe was off.i had a cutoff for it but no money for clifford headers...nice dual carbs you got there
