Yea, I didn't train mine properly... so I have to leash her when I walk her. She is 10 now and I think its too late. The Akita in this video looks very much like Cho Cho ( My Akita)

She is adorable! Mine greets me this way if we have been a part for a couple of hours. It melts me everytime! If you type in - akitas playing coco - you'll see a cute video of her playing with a toy chihuahua. She looks very like yours. Aren't akitas the best or what!

yes they can NOT be loft of lead because they will run of to play with other dogs !!

hi tabby beauty or any other akita owners, i am looking at buying an akita puppy and was just wondering if anybody could help me get a better idea what its like living with one.I also have a little jack russell bitch, what are they like living with other dogs? also some people have warned me against them saying they are highly strung and tempermental, personally i believe that a dog is as good as the owner has taught it to be but wondering from a akita owner.

and any other info would b great x

@toddwills same here we had to put our 10 year old akita down to. its been 3 moths since she passed but it hard to watch this video because she used to greet us just like that when we get home. :'(

Our Akita does the same, but she runs up and down and does howls and then a whole lot of little ones. It's like she is stressed, or happy one of the two.

Ah yes, the greeting is always such glee and they all show it in different ways. We can go for an hour and we sit down to reassure them, they are so excited and beyond happy EVERY time you leave and come back? I wonder if they fear you have left them.
