@Gordingracht well MVC3 has the worst online while BB has the best bt not by much considering how many of the people play on there most of the time while SSF4 is somewhere in the middle.I dont know if you know but SF3 third strike is also out now and every1 raves about it being the best SF ever but its capcoms internet GGPO has just as many faults as the others so you cant parry too good online.So honestly the only advice is to pick the one with the most chars you like.

worst fighting game ever, theres no point to playing any other char but seth, akuma, oni and evil ryu. i mean wtf capcom you have classic chars like cammy and guile that suck so bad while everyone else gets easy to do ultra's and tons of special moves. then after you beat your head on the wall a 100 times to beat seth what do you get? a 20 sec ending that makes no sense. this whole game poorly done and very unbalanced. if they took out the fireball cheese spam this game might be playable.

fuck i made the mistake of buying SSFIV today.. I wish i bought MK9 instead. You can barely play it with a normal ps3 controller. The inputs sucks, I do a Hadoken and my character does something that isnt even close to what i did. YAWN!

This game is BULLSHIT.

1st lite controls. Now we've got generation of extra moves spammers. There's no respect to those moves any more. All you need to do is push the button.

2nd . AUTOBLOCK. All you need to do is walk forward. Nothing will harm you (except throws) Even d+HK won't work and this is some serious BULLSHIT!

3rd. Glitches. Example: your opponent jumps towards you. He's still f**** 6 feet in the air. Ultra Combo and ... nothing. He's still managed to block it! WTF??!! BULLSHIT CAPCOM

Fact is,Street Fighter's good but alot of gamers (including myself I have to say) would rather play Tekken or the newly released Mortal Kombat

Instead of spending hours focused on mastering moves you can focus your time on mastering combos and techniques because everything's relatively simple to pull off.

I personally find Street Fighter is lacking in the tutorial department, there's no real help for people new to the series. I'd love to get really into Street Fighter,but I can't.

I will agree to you at one point about the tutorial part because myself being an advanced player of Street Fighter and all its modes faced real difficulty in the beginning when i was new . I had to search on net for the players moves and super combos but street fighter has its own place and respect in the fighting world . Be it this game or any,take for example the combos of King in tekken are not so easy to master and are sumtimes beyond our ability.

Street Fighter IV is my first SF, having grown up with Tekken, Soulcalibur and Smash Bros. I've found it hard to make the transition. I'm not better then an average gamer on it. On Tekken I can pretty much do what I want including Kings most complex of moves, that's partially because I prefer the D-pad and triangle, circle, square and cross being it the moves list rather then LP,MP and HP.

In the newly release Mortal Kombat I'm getting good to.

@MEDzZ3RO it is very easy dude...the left right moves arent jusst left rite......first u have to push "only" left or back button for a while (say 1.5 or 2 seconds) then immideately push right or forward button + punch or kick whatever special u want.... same is for ultra combo when it is to be done two times in some characters.....like chunli...push back button for a while then push forward,then again back and forward + kick......remember second time you need not to hold back button

Plus ...... in which game will you find such awesome rocking in game music. I dont think tekken or mk can go that far for gamers. Moreover street fighter posses a much much longer history than the new games........for a change ppl must penetrate this Different kinda world for fighting games....

True but Street Fighter IV's "tutorials" don't teach you anything, there's no comprehensive demonstration or video of what you're supposed to do. It shows you which buttons to press, that's it. Why they keep the light punch, medium punch, heavy punch.etc.. instead of triangle, square, R1 on consoles I don't know.

MKt (9) arguably has one of the best story modes the genres ever seen because it actually is a story rather then fighting for the sake of it. I like SF but find it overrated
