@greg5566 - the rev rise at 0:33 is interesting, sounds like he either dipped the clutch (not sure why) or hit a slippery patch on the road - this has happened to me in the rain when you ride over slightly smoother asphalt - and yes, that's pretty dangerous and a good time to back off on the throttle :) but it's not that bad if you're going in a straight line.

@greg5566 Watch again and you'll hear at 0:51-0:55 that the revs rise again - this is when he's in a curve - as the bike leans over the contact patch of the wheels shift to the outside and the circumference of the tyre reduces, effectively changing the gearing and allowing the engine to pull harder even tho his road speed is basically the same.

I can't tell. But, if your not, it's pretty much the German highway and you can go as fast as you please in the left lane when there are two lanes .... not sure when there are 2+. But, still the left lane on any autobahn you can go 110 or 200mph and it is completely legal.

the bike accelerates when he turns because the bike is near the ground (bending the bike to the corner instead of breaking / turning the wheel), having less wind resistance = SPEED UP. do your homework before commenting shit mate! LOL

It´s because the rear wheel has a smaller diameter/circumference when you´re leaning towards a corner and uses the side om the tyres. To keep the same velocity the engine has to increase the rpm´s.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the wind resistance as claimed above.

@jspleon1982 Its becase the tire is spinning from less downforce to the center of the tire. the wheels diameter/circumference stays the same at any speed. But the tire itself does expand at speed. Engine RPM doesnt increase to keep the same velocity. It increases to increase in speed, given you are upshifting and not downshifting.

Less downforce....? You have to explain that to me, because the area of the bike are exactly the same. The tread off the tire might get at little smaller when you putting it down. It´s simple math to calculate the circumference of the tire otherwise use a string to messure. The tire has a different cicumference whatever you like it or not.

The wheel will never have a smaller diameter/circumference. Its alloy, not rubber. If the engine RPM increases then so does the speed in the straight or the corner. Regardless of lean angle. In this case, as is the case when i am on the track racing my bike in the WERA events (for the past 8 years), the tire is spinning thus increasing the RPMs in the vid. Same as when you see the guys in the MGP vids while drifting.

The rim hasnt, but the tire has. Try using a string or something else to messure the circumference of the tire in the middel and on the side. If you has to maintain a velocity and decrease the circumference, the driving force has to increase the revs pr minut. One thing is spinning the wheel on a track, this is a whole other situation.
