  • It happened to me fuck CHASE

  • Hey, how did you do that "Chase Invaders" thing at the end. That was pretty cool. I like your video too and agree with you!

  • @tweakofnature

I took an existing video of game play from youtube, separated the video frames and rebuilt each one in photoshop and then used Final Cut Pro to assemble the new video sequence. Thanks for your support and comment.

  • Asasiante bank chase officials: Problem solved...Just kidding, maybe, no really, well kinda, Not really...we will see..

  • I work at a call center, and I can name several things the agent did wrong.

    1. Monotone voice. We all take 1000 calls a day. We all DESPISE the customers. We all wish guys like this would just shut up and sit down. But we cant, welcome to the real world and stop the lack of empathy.

    (CONTINUED)

  • @Gamer1987x (CONTINUED) 2. Acting like the Policy-God. I know all the ins and outs of my job. But you know what? I know that supervisors have leway and I make sure I give my customers, even the ones who are upset and being a "jerk" a shot at the supervisor. I go and speak to a supervisor first and see what we can do for the customer.

    3. Not transferring to a supervisor. Just escalate the call, stupid. Its out of your hands and now and someone with more authority, who gets PAID more, can take it.

  • How much interest were you refunded?

  • @Gamer1987x

About $160. Of course this is going to make some people's head spin that I went this far for just $160 but the point was to stop an arbitrary and unfair increase in my interest rate and to address the predatory lending practices.

  • Unfortunately there was no point to keep on talking with him. You might as well just talked to another coworker or a supervisor/manager.

  • In early 2008 Chase raised my APR by 10%, my credit score was 840 and my bills paid ontime, I asked them what was going on, the said I had a bad credit score, Their information was incorrect and had no bassis to increase my APR. Their exact words were, "WE CAN DO ANYTHING WE WANT" Why does a bank on welfare act so god like?

  • @daveusaz1218 a bank on welfare? are you retarded?!?

  • @tr33tard3d When the banks took taxpayer bailout money, that put them on the welfare list, if you didn't realize that, then I would say you were retarted. The Banks want to block all taxpayers from recieving any benifit of taxpayer money, hence austerity, so that the only thing recieving welfare will be the banks, politicians and the military.

  • @daveusaz1218 what your not saying is that chase did not need or want the bail out but paid it back as soon as they were allowed to and also paid $1,745,457,131 worth of interest.... idk how welfare works where your at but thats not how it works here

  • @tr33tard3d What your not saying is that Chase pays American taxpayers with taxpayer money and money they flat out stole from investors. I get it, your Jamie Dimons' girlfriend aren't you. You worship banks like Chase, JP Morgan and think it's OK that they paid politicians to create laws and eliminate regulations, allowing them to raid the economy. All the CEO's and board members of the banks involved in this scam need to be in prison and all their assets liquidated, The same for the Fed Res.

  • That poor agent. People like you call and bring agents like this poor guy down, he may agree with you but he is only doing his job. What his company tells him. Usually people like you LOSE, for the way you treated this poor ,poor guy. You are lucky it ended in your favor. What a shame. You going to act in the same manner if Comedy Central sues you for copyright infringement for that ILLEGAL INFRINGEMENT you aded at the end?

  • @GLCorps2

Not lucky, integrity, honesty and fortitude won out in the end. Chase screwed me and put this "poor" guy up as a human shield. Colbert clip is 100% fair use under title 17, Section 107 of the US Code. Do your research before looking stupid oh its too late, your Green Lantern screen name already did that.

  • ugh.. i hate people like this guy complaining.. bitch dont get a credit card if you cant pay ass. haha oh btw you are a fucking dumb ass for putting your business online for. you are so fucking stupid.

  • @lovetofly1018 He has a point, and if the guy didn't want to transfer it to a supervisor then there was no point of continuing on the call.

  • @lovetofly1018

Matthew, you're a 23 year old who has very little world experience who totally missed the point of this video. Surely you have better things to do than be a troll on You Tube.

  • ugh.. i hate people like this guy complaining.. bitch dont get a credit card if you cant pay ass. haha oh btw you are a fucking dumb ass for putting your business online for. you are so fucking stupid.

  • ugh.. i hate people like this guy complaining.. bitch dont get a credit card if you cant pay ass. haha

  • typical bank fraud, another day in the good old USA

  • The guy on the phone oviously agrees with you. The problem is he needs a job. He will do what it take to keep it. It would be great if he had the right to say what he was thinking... "I know, this is a rip off - I agree with you - I just work here".

  • haha you got fuck in the ass hope it dosent happen to me lol

  • you have to always ask for the manager, and then ask for the name and information of his manager. ask for their full name and title. Don't waste your time with the brainwashed foot soilder

  • Just one MORE example of how the corporations & banks are OUT OF FUCKING CONTROL in this country... with the help of some of the kind of little proto-fascist citizen corporatists who've posted here in their "defense".

  • And we are generally instructed to state we are 'account manager's' .. Doesn't mean we are actually supervisors. We just aren't supposed to escalate. It's a de-escalation technique. Personally I think you're being a little rude. Would you like someone yelling at you because you have to hold up rules made by someone else? Most people working for a company don't have that decision. Even if they say they do.

  • This isn't very fair. The operator does not have the power to really do anything. Operators are basically hired to handle peoples anger, not to fix their problems. It's a sad job, but in this economy.. sometimes the only option. I work in a call center and believe me, it's very limited what we can do. We just have to grin and take what you're saying when you're a jack....***

  • what do you do, spin a wheel to see who gets screwed? lol

  • Understand your frustration and it's fucked up what Chase does. But this operator can't help you. Keep in mind he has no power. Unfortunately doesn't matter what you tell this guy, nothing will change. Poor employees take the heat for the scum bag of corporate. It's frustrating. These corporation. GREED GREED GREED. When will it end?

  • oh and I have good credit and have been an awesome client for that company. they are the most UN hassel-free company I have EVER worked with.....BOA never did that to me and Chase was pretty good to me too....but thoes are paid off.... (: sorry for what they did...if its closed why are they messing with it?? ugh!

  • capital one did the same thing....I was t.working to get out of cc debt and I have good credit. the interest rate was 7.95 and for no reason got raised to 17.95. I was irate so they transfered me to a mgr and she said, "if you opt out it will be at 7.95% for the duration of the loan." so I did....and two months later the CLOSED opted out acct raised to 8.25.....and their defense was its a variable rate...so why did she lie? I hate capital One....

  • I had a problem with Chase Bank too - I recorded my complaint to to the CEO and posted it on Youtube. They are charging me for late penalties even though I’m paying them early and in an amount larger than I actually owe!

    youtube.com/watch?v=JZNs6oz5zPY

  • JUST DONT PAY CHASE F THEM !!!!!

  • loansharking=offering unsecured loans at high interest rates to individuals, often enforcing repayment by blackmail or threats of violence.

"thats not in my original terms" - yes it is. read fine print before signing things.

"my rate was 12.24, those were the terms." - no they werent. 'your rate was 8.99+prime, your bank can change this rate at any time for any reason' - those were your terms. if that doesnt seem fair to you, maybe you should have not signed up for this?

  • @EquusTwo

Funny how people make matter-of-fact statements when they do not have the facts. As for my terms... This account is 8 years old. The terms clearly stated they cant change the margin rate without a qualifying event. They added the "at any time for any reason" clause AFTER I opted out. Comptroller of the Currency took immediate action when I filed my complaint and Chase responded within 10 days, apologized and "honored" the terms that I DID SIGN UP FOR.

  • Chase screws too many people for such little things or crap. I paid off a credit card of mine which I paid in full and am still getting a bill the next month for interest applied. Paying money and the account was payed off. WTF.

  • Stop paying them at all tell them sue you. They pissed me off and i quit sending any payment. I deflated when they jacked me from 11.99 to 29.99 so i deflated. let them charge it off as loss.

  • Keep your money in a fire proof safe. Prepare for the apocalypse. Become paranoid, like myself. Paranoia does have its perks. I'm serious...

  • @GnariusFestivus maybe get into the whole gold thing

  • I'm really glad you posted this. I consider myself at the top of the pile with financial knowledge, and had no idea they could keep sending those term changes even after you opt out and close the account. Simply amazing.

  • Where are some good lawyers when you need them. A class-action lawsuit would be appropriate.

  • As a former employee of Chase I can tell you that in fact the rep on the call was citing the policy perfectly...and you're right, it is totally wrong.

I left there after a few months since I have morals and it should be obvious that Chase doesn't.

Thanks for posting this video, if every Chase customer who has been screwed over would do the same, maybe we'd see REAL change in the practices of this deceptive and greedy company!

  • dammit I cant heard there explainaintion. All I can hear is " the account is closed"

  • This recording may be real may not be. Regardless, instances just like this are happening by the boat loads. You think the number here on youtube are large, ha... Take a look at this site, and these are just those reporting. Imagine the numbers that just cry in shame and never tell a person.

  • Its not theft nor loan sharking when the accused is hired to take your money at ever term. Its called results.

  • what i do wonder is if this is a real recording I didn't hear were the guy asked for his name or account they pulled the account real fast. Maybe he typed it in ealier but my experiance that never works and they always ask

  • Comment removed

  • @chowchow987 - It is a real recording, names, account numbers, security procedure was edited out.

  • blame it on the lawyers all criminals counsult with thier clean cut well educated lawyers how to legally meaning if you don't get caught its legal way to steal peoples money. What the shame is this thugs are respected in the sociaties they live. To bad we can't have one day a month of anarchy that anything goes I think a few anarchy days a year the citizens would clean up these crooks in our society. Including the ones in DC.

  • this guy makes 10 dollars an hour maybe...and your breaking his chops for you living beyond your means...i understand your point....the random part is just ridiculous

  • this has nothing to do with living beyond your means none of us would be using credit cards if we new we'd have to pay such rates. If all cards were paid of tomorrow they would lower rates to suck us in and then raise them when we are hooked owing them money. Why should they get this extra money Imagine if landlords starting doing this to tenants after they are in the home their kids go to school

  • @stubridy83

Living beyond my means? This is about honoring an opt out and ethical business practices. And what does his wage have to do with anything. He said he was a supervisor and was the person assigned by Chase to speak to me. So I have more of right to "Bust His Chops" if he is paid more? That's more ridiculous than the random part.

  • @oppressedbychase True but really your time is being wasted. Complaining to BBB and FEDs might help. 7:45 you say a business can change the way...but here is the thing. This guy CANNOT make the change. The Corporate makes those decisions.

  • @oppressedbychase I know this is an old video but well done for fighting your corner. I live in the UK and we still get screwed pretty royally from time to time by banks but mainly energy companies who will HOUND YOU TIL THE GRAVE, to get their £30 surplus charge or a bill that they have created using guesswork. You handled yourself in a factual and calm manner so well done for that!

  • Now instead of wasting my own time on the phone,I prefer to waste a chase employees time as well and clog the lines at the bank so there is lots of customers to overhear what kind of bank they are. Just a hint Fridays after 3 pm and the first few days of the month seem to be the busiest. Even if all the people in line havent had as bad of experience as I at least after they get tired of waiting in line and hearing what crooks they are.I think over time they will choose to do business elsewhere

  • My mortgage has been messed up 7 times in past 10 mo. According to their own statement it was current last month and yet I have a 3126.93 fee in addition to the 589.60 normal payment due for mar 10. and the fee is itemized as current charges not prev on the statement that they cant explain nor will they investigate or change. Im trying to sell my home just get rid of chase. I wonder if this is Chase policy?

  • What the representitive did was wrong and not Chase policy. I hope you got this rectified.

  • They reset the interest rate only after the Comptroller of the Currency got involved. Balance has been transferred to a more trustworthy institution. I will NEVER do business with Chase again and will do everything I can to dissuade anyone who is considering them. Thanks for the comment.

  • Screw Chase. I'm dealing with a different situation of my own. I'm actually on the phone with them right now on hold.

  • stop paying it, period.
