  • Wow! I've never heard him before. He's fuckin amazing!

  • wow! is that guitar in standard tuning? sounds awesome!

  • good to see sayid from lost is at something good with his time!

  • Wow

  • he's can play with the nose

  • awesome!

  • go jesus!

  • @leo959 please, jesus wishes he could play this good.

  • it's a little bit of ethnik style??if we could say that..it's great ..really creative playing..

  • I wouldn't call this style overdone at all, it's beautiful, requires a GREAT deal of creativity, talent, and feeling.

You CANNOT play or compose this kind of music without putting some feeling into it. That would just be so wrong.

You sir, are amazing. Keep up the good work, and maybe some day you'll end up touring like Andy McKee. Hell, maybe you'll even open for him! I know I would kill to.

PS: Who cares about his appearance. Just sit back, close your eyes, and listen.

  • I call that a pure example of music creativity.

    Good Job Mr Hewett.

  • very nice

  • why all fingerstyle players compose that kinda "cosmic" music?? they all sound the same.

Very nice playing indeed, but this style is getting kinda boring to me.

  • @2Funky4me I see what you mean, but i think its got more to do with the tone of the instrument. You know, how you play when you plug into a new amp or pick up a new guitar. I wonder how it would sound if you played that on an electric guitar.

  • @Robharveyrone

i think that playing like that on a telecaster should be quite interesting IMO

  • @2Funky4me I know what you mean, it kinda sounds like theyre meandering around in an open tuning and maybe hitting an extra chord or two and thats about it. Oddly enough, Kaki King is my new fave at the moment!!

  • @2Funky4me

Dear 2Funky, its Michael. I agree that the style is getting way boring. I've moved away from it over the past few years and gotten back into electric guitar...also trying out dj based programs with electric guitar loops instead of synths. I think part of the 'cosmic' quality lies in the open tunings. When I was writing in this style I did my best to put more angst into the compositions to throw it off a bit. Cheers.

  • @yogi5400

Thanks for the feedback, Michael. You're with no doubt a very talented musician, it'd be cool if you share some of your work with the electric guitar here on YT. Take care.

  • you''re playing is excellent. you need a more involved recording to do it justice. bravo.

  • What tuning is he playing in?

  • From the low E up its EBDGAE.

  • @yogi5400 Thanks mate

  • he should wear something besides a beater shirt next time, it dosent fit the music

  • Shit, this is absolutely incredible. You should be as popular as Andy Mckee

  • Just when you think you've seen everything done with a guitar...NICE!

  • dumb

  • Nice one man :)

  • Čaroděj!!! ( The wise man!!!)

  • show me the way!

  • from 2:51 to the end is the best, simply beautiful...

  • this is beautiful.

    wow. just amazing. :D

  • From the bottom up its EBDGAE.

  • regular tuning??? no way man

  • Definitely not standard tuning. Its EBDGAE.

  • Amazing bro, nicely composed, keep up the good work! what tuning is it in? Peace
