In reply to interest in the brush. Each strand of hair is drwan using the Pen Tool and then choosing stroke path and when it asks you if you want to simulate brush stroke, click ok but have simulate unchecked, make sure that previously you've set the brush to 2 or 3 pixels and have foreground colour set to what hair strand you require, when done ,right click and choose delete path. keep doing this over and over to create each strand.
