  • scotty send me back to 1979 asap

  • @valley11 It was The National Guard, Kent State is a college in Ohio, what didnt Nixon do!

  • Are you fucking kidding me, then you can add clinton and obama to that list and take off Reagan, the last true limited govt man in charge. I am a deadhead, doesn't mean I'm communist. I thought the hippies were all, "let me express myself, leave me alone". Now they all support bloated govt, socailist bullshit that empowers politicians even more. They (you) are led around like brain dead robots.

  • @Vallely11 -that idiot actually believes that nixon would personally phone kent enforcement to shoot folks, rather than realize that untrained goofs in any uniform can easily fuck up and overreact to abuse shouting demonstrators.

maybe he should move to cuba ,belorus or china and try the same shit against marxism.

as a canadian, i approved of reagan over any north american leader.tho nixon was a bit crooked,it was LBJ who killed JFK for a position he'd never get elected for & drafted for vietnam

  • @Vallely11 We are a million strong Im an old Hippie and proud of it. I lived through everything you posted about, how about a fact finding mission before you put meaningless words on a wall. What does anything you just posted have to do with Very Very talented people who can read music and write songs and make millions of dollars for years and years. Get there then talk your trip....................flying my freak flag and feeling sorry for idiots like you. ☮

  • @PamelaB54 It has nothing to do with those very very talented people. I love those people. I think that ignorant song below talking about reagan prompted a response that particular day. I just get confused by a lot of the people that listen to these musicians, politically. Flying your freak flag, I couldn't be more for it. I am for the individual, 100%. It just seems all the hippies are now supporting politicians that want us all dependent on the govt and not living our lives on our terms

  • que buena cancion sin dudu los mejores

  • I'm not givin in an inch to fear.

  • This song captured the essence of those times........

    Good music never dates,.......Rock On.

  • is zo goed heeft geen beoordeling nodig

  • i saw david sing this song in summer of 2006, with Neil Young, Graham & Steve on Neil's "Living with War" tour, at Redrocks Ampitheatre, Denver. They didn't do the song on every show of that tour (in fact, I saw all three shows at Redrocks that week, and they only did it once). But, Neil really got into the guitar solo that Steve plays so entusiastically on this video. David's voice was great that week, and he made a few jokes about all of the canabis smoke in the air that evening.

  • Almost voted Republican one day

remembered Kent State and how Nixon had them blown away

    almost voted republican one day

remembered my hippie roots and said no way

    almost voted republican one day

looked around at the mess Reagan, Bush and Bush made

    where are the hippies today??????

  • cut my hair today!

  • Amazing song. Had this on an album when I was a kid. They don't make this kind of music anymore. Hail to CSNY, they rang in a new era of love and peace and increased paranoia!

  • Saw them a few years ago at Jones beach therater here on Long Island and I was floored. They are my one of my mothers favorite bands. How can anyone of us who are now in our late 20's and early 30's say that our parents were never cool. hate to to say it but my parents were cool back in the day

  • thanks for the video

  • David and Graham sang vocals for David Gilmour on his 06 album "On an Island". CSN also toured with Neil on his "Living with War" tour in 06. CSNY music will be around long after we are gone..........Peace.

  • hello david..hello from huntsville...we love you ... i'm sure the warden has got used to this song by now...:)

  • Good lord, these guys are brilliant. :D

  • you guys think i should cut my hair

  • Deja Vu, (Crosby) song 3

  • I have ALWAYS loved this song...David is as awesome as ever

  • Yes its a classic........Truely was the right song that captured the feelings of many in those turbulent times.......Great guitar!

  • wut album was this song on and who is credited for writing it?

  • from my addled memory--Deja Vu; I know Crosby wrote it. Does Still ever deliver a bad bridge?

  • Album is "Dejà vu".I think it's a Crsby's song

  • this song is awesome..

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!

  • If ever a song captured the feeling of its "time" ...this is it!!!

  • burnouts? LOL see if screamo, malmsteem and punk will still give people chills 40 years from now.

  • Todays music sucks so badly, please don't even mention that fucking trash.

  • @KHeyHeyHey SO sick of people like you, Youre all just ignorant lazy douchebags. Open your fucking ears and eyes and youll find good modern music. Yeah it doesnt get played on the radio so be it. stop using it as an excuse.

  • @ven0mous Punk has been around since the 70's. It's been 40 years, and don't mix Punk with screamo, dude.

  • @ven0mous punk was 40 years ago

  • ...Heavy

  • You and redneck your friends certainly are.

  • One man ,just out of prison,an acoustic guitar

10,000 + people silent.... listening..,get on the bus buddy. "almost cut my hair" WOW! tomorrow I will travel to see these

" burnouts " Crosby is AWESOME! Stills too!

  • I think he ( tom ) is better at copying Dylan

Saw him a few years ago with Stevie Nicks too, Real good stuff!

  • said by a fat corean seems ridicoulus

  • i personally know david hes not only a great musician but very real and down to earth man

  • @stubesue somebody thumbed down your response. how heartless

  • Youre lucky to know him..he looks like a good shit..n his voice is better than ever...

  • anyone who refers to these cats as burnouts is a callous ass. david crosby battled his way back from addiction to be able to perform like this again... and his voice sounds fresh as hell! you show me another dude that age who can sing that way, aside from placido domingo, you fuckface! and young... one of the greatest original thinkers-songwriters-performers ever in the rock business, and able to play practically every instrument. ok... i'll give you graham nash: he sucks.

  • This song is timeless, sounds as good now as way back.....If ever a song captured the very

essence of an era its this one.

  • notalent dickheads need to make stupid accusations on You tube. These guys still kicj the crap out of the garbage put out today.

  • a powerful song and always will be !!

  • great tune!

  • Great track by CS&N.....Check out another version on Youtube by Pete Frampton...recorded live in a pub in UK.....Blows me away every time he plays it at the Gardeners in Stoke.

  • I thought it rocked. Great dynamics and pacing. So many years gone by since it was created, and CSN still hold true to the groove of the song, still make it sound new.

Speaking as an American, "I'm not giving in an inch to fear" is especially poignant to hear. As long as fear is used as a political tool, these lyrics will hit home. Finally, listen to the audience...they're into it;they're following the rise and fall of the song. Cool.

  • Nice one.. This song takes me back to another

    place..another time.

  • thirty five years after they first sang it and crosby's voice still as strong as ever. that's american rock and roll for you.

  • smoke crack smoke crack DIEBOLD don't try to get elected DIEBOLD DIEBOLD NO Don't try to get yoruself elected! SMOKE CRACK SMOKE CRACK and worship a fucking QUEEEN!

  • Demon Liquor! Smoke crack smoke crack everybody smoke crack Smoke crack Smoke Crack everybody smoke crack...and let the potheads sit on their royal pedistals and critisize...when they can't tell the difference betweenn when they can't tell the difference between...What??? who? what were we talking about...and then the speed freeks tellth fall out but its OK to be freinds with a registered sex offender...It's a method you'know...

  • u stupid bitches-drop ordrop out that as th e question--- yea u dident and u wander why

  • sounds good to me.....

  • I still enjoy this guys. I live in the US. But their live performances need better sound engineering or something. Their losers if they don't sell enough seats. They seem to be able to do that. I won't however go to see them live. It hurts when I have the original vinyl version in my head and they play and like an amateur band

  • its called live. they wrote the song. and you have to listen to how they want to play it.

playing music like the cd is lame

  • Quality sound/music is of interest to me. Apparently there are difference of opinions on this subject. We differ.

  • not really its there song and there playing it. if you want the cd sound. play the cd. i rather hear them play it how THEY want it played.

  • Yes, they wish it that way, that's my objection.

  • Bearing in mind this is recorded on a cellphone... bearing in mind that they've put over two hundred million dollars in the US Treasury from foreign earnings &, that they're all over 60, on what grounds do you call them 'losers'? What is that makes you such a big winner, couttsjajr? You done somethin' we should all know about with your life?

  • Ditto here.

They can still harmonize, and Stills will always be a first-rate guitarist although he seems to have hearing loss now.

  • kinksfan1956, you are absolutely correct. However, Stills has been totally deaf in one ear since he was a very young child. This is not a well known fact. It makes his work all the more remarkable, obviously.

  • tAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO KNOWS THE TRUTH pARTIALLY DEAF THANK YOU AND HE HEARS PERFECTLY WELL OUT OF THE OTHER HE WORKS HARD LOVES HARD AND PLAYS HARD AND HAS BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN I KNOW I MET ONE OF THEM AND HES BEAUTIFUL TOO

  • THe U.S. doesn't really have a treasury..not a public one anyway...We have gutless kings who will not reveal themselves.

  • David Crosby has had a liver transplant, and he still delivers live gigs like that. Is the extreme opposite of being a "loser".

  • such a seat!

  • ok aunt perv

  • Fab video, I wish I had been there with you, in fact I have a feeling I was there with you, in fact I have a feeling of Deja Vu.

  • Fab video, I wish I had been there with you, in fact I have a feeling I was there with you, in fact I have a feeling of Deja Vu.

  • saw CSNY last summer in Puyallup, WA. They all sounded good but David Crosby is just incredible. He might be getting older but his voice hasn't aged a day, he nailed every note the whole show. I hope they all keep going for decades to come.

  • i have to agree with you. he sounds better and better with age! hits it every time.

i saw CSNY in st. louis several years ago and this song was the stand out of the show for me. just about made me cry.

  • Legend has it is based upon A Ken Kesey Author of One Flew Over The Cuckoo`s Nest and Initiator of The Infamous Acid Tests(The Merry Pranksters) was supposed to be (according to Tom Wolfe`s Electric Kool Aid Acid Test) On The The Run From The Police and was thinking of Cutting His Hair to Disguise himself and looking in the Bathrooom Mirror saw a Mexican Police Car and decided to give himself up

  • saw them the summer of '04 and they were cookin.

  • BRILLIANT...

  • Makes you want to see'em again. They sound great. Solos are hot.

  • AFter all these years Crosby can still wail and jam like almost no other. Long live CSN(&Y)

  • PEACE KEEP THE FAITH LONG LIVE THE 60S

  • Great version of Crosby's song.Check out the version by Pete Frampton with his U.K. band 'Escape Committe'.Recorded live in a pub.Great.

  • awesome
