Hia, ive been trying for ages now to get the right set up. Got plenty of planes to put the equipment in just want to get the correct, cam etc. So I want to get:
*cam as good as yours here
*OSD
*GPS
*FPV
*Recordable footage (which urs of curse is.
What sort of money and any chance you could give me the product list you have used?
The problem is if you have no horizon indicators its "possible" that a big gust of wind can knock your RC plane upside down and the autopilot will try and pull up but thats DOWN NOW! XyZ sesons are only 50-100US so its worth the investment. If your cheap, buy a Gyro. Its better than nothing at all
The Z sensors are discontinued from FMA and the XY sensors are out of stock till August. Any other suggestions? Will the RangeVideo OSD only work with FMA.
What happens when he plane returns home and you're in range for you TX to make contact, are you now fighting with the auto-pilot to bring it down? Might be a stupid question but just learning. :-)
The thermopile sensors are not required for return to home. You can use the RVOSD without them, but there will be no artificial horizon or 'enchanced' autopilot. The autopilot will not stabilize the plane- it will only provide navigation by GPS.
Is your mAh used measuring the draw from the motor, the radio/FPV gear, or both? What brand is it? Thanks, L

I'm really interested and will buy an OSD, but why do I need a X-Y sensor AND a Z sensor?
-Does the stabilized autopilot work with only an X-Y sensor?
-Am I able to change the stabilizing effect of the sensors like its possible with the FMA Co pilot?
BTony91 2 years ago
Yes, you need both X-Y and a Z sensor.
The Z sensor needs to be modified (500ohm resistor changed to 1K ohm)
Or you can use 2x X-Y sensors instead.
2. Yes, you can adjust autopilot. Autopilot works to return the airplane home only.
If you need copilot type stabilization, then you need to buy Copilot, lol. Unless we make a FW update to this OSD,

Ok, thanks, I understood it, the Z sensor is needed to know if the plane gets upside down.
-But the last sentence irritates me.
The sensors are producing the artificial horizon, but do they stabilize the autopilot, they do right?
If they, does the effect of stabilisation is only active when the autopilot is activated?
Sorry for misunderstanding, but I'm from Germany.

@BTony91
Hi;
I also got this OSD; what have been your modifications to get the artificial horizon bar to be that stable?
Thanks and best

requires two thermopile sensors
XY and Z zensor from FMA direct.

Let me add to this.
The thermopile sensors are not required for return to home. You can use the RVOSD without them, but there will be no artificial horizon or 'enchanced' autopilot. The autopilot will not stabilize the plane- it will only provide navigation by GPS.

sure, it will recover the plane from a spiral or inverted flight and fly the plane home . okkkk

Great video Reznik!! Are you now selling these FPV OSD's on range video?
