  • I love how manual everything seems

  • what is this film called ????

  • why i have to be thai!

My country is so proud of nothing!

Nothing to be proud of, just corruption!

Wish i was not thai :(

  • @doctorwhoUKpilot

are you sure you are Thai?

    how about this:

    1. We have never been colonized

    2. our food are famous

    3. our country is beautiful (naturally and culturally)

    4. our capital city is ranked among top destination city in the world (London, Paris etc.)

    5. our fighting style is really famous

  • @wasantube แต่คนไทยเราภูมิใจมากเกินไป!

  • @wasantube you forgot a few points which are famous as well as important (especially for thai economy) lol

  • I'm a Thai living in AUS. I love Thailand, wish the country was more developed.

  • @nisornt i actually like the way it's not developed, thats the real charm

what is sad is seeing all the western food companies setting up in Thailand, hell why would you buy McDonalds in a country which has some of the finest food in the world

I loved the street food there and the absolute hospitility of Thai people when they ate, I was so often invited to sit in on large family meals

The Pad Thai in Thailand is amazing, so different to the version you see in Oz

  • @leokimvideo I would love the Culture and food to remain the way it is. Can't agree any more on the food we have in Thailand.

  • @nisornt the other really big factor is the King. When I was working there I was working for a member of the royal family who was making a film.

it became really obvious to us the King and royal family had a massive influenced over the people there, for me that was a eye opener seeing this respect up close.

  • @nisornt : more developed by taking other land and other temples like fighting now with Cambodia kingdom of wonder..

  • What movie is this? Bang Rajan?

  • @daogenify it not bang rajan.......It (tam-nan-som-dage par-Naresuan mr-har-larh) it was about thai stil friends with burma(Bur is communis and bulley other nation)Then thai is disagree start the great gather of thai force and fight again burma for the right and freedom...and name Naresuan is name of king who lead the warrior into battle till victory and there are 4 episode (1=royal hostage in hongsa) (2=Declare independence) (3=Navy strategy) (4=battlefield strategy) and 4 will release soon.

  • iam from thailand

  • @8:00 can someone please exaplain to me how those guys are not injured and how much they are paid to be blown up like that?

  • @KombiPode It is all pretty safe believe me. The debris is soft, the guys flying are all pretty fit and the whole sequence is timed so there is good margin of safety involved.

  • @leokimvideo how is it safe? are they on wires? im into explosives and film making just so you know.

  • @leokimvideo i would love to be those guys since its safe, total rush.

  • @leokimvideo i would love to be those guys since its safe, total rush. by the way what movie was this?

  • @KombiPode look at 8:25 you can see that they use ropes

  • @KombiPode Hello my frend please can you let me know who to do the squib please what i need to do it thank you

  • @davidtanti

You are talking to the wrong guy. Come back and check.

  • @KombiPode

    i can see pullys.

  • @KombiPode there one wires.

at 8:24 you can tell because they swing to the left alot more than they would if they weren't on wires.

  • @KombiPode STRING.. look closely from 8:12 - 8:14

  • @KombiPode If you look closely, you can see the wire. It had me fooled for a few seconds too. Explosive force doesn't move them. Some kind of overhead pully system out of frame is doing it. Not ony safe, probably fun.

  • @KombiPode there are ropes on them u fucking idiot

  • @KombiPode

    They fly on rope!

  • @KombiPode it is of course a visual special effect, home-made and a bit rough indeed, but nice. See the odd boomerang like parabola of people flying at 8:30; with no sand nor leaves on trees moving in the meanwhile. The blowing guys are linked with ropes, that have been successively deleted in the film (though something still appears).

  • COMMUNIQUE OF BUDDHIST MONKS IN THAILAND AND AROUND THE WORLD. OWING TO A CLEAR REVELATION OF THAI GOVT OF PM ABHISIT VEJJAJIVA WHO HAD PROVED ITSELF TO THE WHOLE WORLD. MONKS THEREFORE,DECLARED THEMSELVES TO THE WORLD TO SUPPORT "RED SHIRTS" NOT MURDERER GOVT."

  • i lik 1:22

  • Looked awesome. I like the effect you guys were making at around 7mins and then shot at 7:46 with all the guys on wires and the dust was really good.

Could you tell me where you get your cork dust in Australia?

Also with the blood packs and the tree 'thing', was that simply flash powder?

    Thanks, great video.

  • 7:47 Simply Amazing? How did they do that without blowing the people up or injuring them at all???

  • @CliffThe1st It's standard old special effects, soft debris and clever combination of action.

  • @leokimvideo did you guys use wires at all? or was it soley the explosion? How do I make the blood packs at home? they look awesome

  • @CliffThe1st

The guys flying through the air are on wires, blood packs cam be made out of non lubricated condoms (American method) or heat sealed small plastic bags.

  • @leokimvideo ahh i thought so. to heat seal bags can i just use an iron?

  • @CliffThe1st

There are heat sealers you buy to do this job, make sure there is no air in the blood bag when you make one.

  • @leokimvideo so an iron wont work?

  • Very interesting to watch.

  • ? why does it leave black smoke in stead of white smoke ? is it oil based? just curious great vid thank you

  • how are they getting these people to fly so high? i see no wires

  • @Dazbme

There are wires, very thin ones..!

  • lol i thought the buckets of smoke actually pushed them up into the air and was wondering how they were going to land safely....then i saw the second bit lol

  • yeah man me too!

  • Very nice effect!

  • Nice video!! Thxs for sharing.

  • Nice video! But Poor horses!!

  • Do they use det caps, or electric charge?

  • they are e-matches

  • This video is amazing. Thanks for posting it.

  • Hello ,

I want to ask, at the time of 2:04, What kind of mixture, on, preparing the bullet hole ???

    Thanks

  • those horses were like woah wtf!

  • Cool เก่งมากๆครับ

  • im a khmer

and i feel ashamed of being a khmer

  • don't you mean you're viet and you feel ashame of being Viet? You're an idiot... pretend to be Khmer, comment on a Thai video. You should be ashame of whatever it is that brought you here.

  • 'Nguy' is the Cambodian equivalent to the Vietnamese 'Nguyen'

  • nah, Khmer is cool. It's just that there some idiot Khmer out there making bad name for Khmer. A lot of things Khmer invented and other people are using, it's all good. Khmer is still here, so they must be doing something right.

  • is it just me or does it look like the horse is being hurt? :S

  • No the horses are fine, just a little confused at times.

  • The horses were well trained for this environment believe me. Those falls are stunt driven and the ground was thick sand.

  • that gut reckens hes so leet with that sticky tape

  • nice vid!!, how do they ignite suche a cloud that fast...

its awesome, please pm me on details

  • That rosin powder is the ever-popular Thai Gold-Bond for Men (medicated jock-itch treatment).

  • The film is

  • Thanks for that, this comment has brought back some fond memories.

Just a few weeks back a friend sent me a link to the theme park built where this film was shot, I was there is the very early stages of filming.

  • sick

  • What are Spanish soldiers doing in Thailand? What era is this? It looks like 15th, 16th or 17th century Thailand?

  • Comment removed

  • actually nvm i think i got it all wrong since this is burma vs thailand. :P

  • However, burma was colonized. i think by the british :P

  • These mother fuckkers are some of the worst fuuckin actors Ive ever seen.

  • thats was cool, what was movie they were filiming?

  • That stuff at 7:50 was sick!

  • wicked cool string work making the guys "fly"

  • i think thats just dextrin,i've made it to, its so damn easy

  • Thailand rocks!

  • suck my dick you dont know shit about thailand

  • Lmfao.

  • 7:50 anyone flyes...

  • wats that kind of job called a pyrotechnician?

  • yeah i want to do that but it is called specal effect technition in most places

  • Now imagine this as gunpowder....

  • Now, there are three active Pope.

Pope John Paul II - mysticaly slept in April 2005, just like Lazarus -, present Pope Benedict XVI, and "the Little Pebble" i.e. Pope Little Peter Abraham II.

  • looks just like dextrin pm me if you want me to explain how it is made if you have any left try adding a drop of water it should give of a ceremel like aroma

  • First of all, great vids, Leo! It has been of utmost interest to learn about your techniques. The part about quiet cannon action caught my attention, as we're making a pirate movie with sailing ships etc. and a couple of cannon shots. Could you explain what is the essential catch in creating a quiet cannon shot?

  • So what happened with this? Did anyone find any sourcing on anything like this in the States? That stuff has amazing flashover like a powder. Any word on actual brands?

  • take some in your pocket XD

  • The gum rosin would be incredibly valuable to pyrotechnics in the States. For multiple purposes beyond fireballs, though by this video I see its value there is indisputable. Sure beats using naphthalene. It is very hard to come by gum rosin that is more than 50% pure here.

  • I wanna see that movie! Very nice at 7:45!

    Most impressive...

  • Film is Naresuan (Thai Film)

The film concerns the life of King Naresuan, who liberated the Siamese from the control of Burma. Born in 1555, he was taken to Burma as a child hostage; there he became acquainted with sword fighting and became a threat to the Burmese empire.

  • lol im half burmese =)

  • they use comdoms to hold the blood?

  • Yes, the trick is to get lubricant free ones..so you can tape them to the plate which protects the person being shot.

  • That was sweet.

  • Leo remind me never to lend you my horse! You might blow him up! LOL!

  • gundi gundi!!

  • Very Cool!!! Did you have those warriors flying through the air on wires?

  • What is those long green things, on the making of squibs part? Electrical?

  • long green things are 6v lights, the glass is removed and the element becomes the bridge wire.

  • Ahh cool. Bad that we couldn't see everything he used to make the blodsquib, cause that would be just awesome.

When they "plant" the squibs on a human, does they use something under? Do they make anything under the t-shirt, to make the wound more realistic?

I got another question to, that i hope you would like to answer. How do the peoples fly so high on the explosion on 7:59? Bluescreen? That would be very dangerous if it were real though.

Thank you for taking time to answer!

  • blood squibs are made onto metal plates, then attached to the inside of clothes, sometimes a condom is used to hold the blood.

the scene where the people are flying in the air is done with thin wire pulled with air rams, stunt performers have special flying gear on....there is no blue screens, and its a reminder that good effects can be done in camera..what you see is what you get.

  • were blue screens involved in that or else how did they make the people go flying so high in the explosions?

  • genius!

  • i have been told by a agent Tom in Thailand the secret gum rosin is used for boats to seal between timbers..

  • just as well they're surrounded by water...

  • Whats the name of the film they made (will it be on imdb?), are you credited?

  • the director was Prince Chatrichalerm Yukol who is a lovely guy, he was educated in Australia, the film was Naresuan (2006) the film he did after Suriyothai (2001) its all on IMDB, I don't believe I have a credit but I see the Australian stunt people did.

  • Thanks, gonna look it up ;)

  • Does anyone know how to make sand squibs? you know te ones that look like gun shot on sand? please tell me if you know

  • It's a real learning curve working in Thailand, I have yet to find a Thai FX guy who knows what the "mystery powder" they use for squibs is!!!!

PS Big Tom is in NZ working!!!

  • Big Tom was working with me in NZ having his own little learning curve of film pyro..!

  • Try not to work him too hard! He did say it was more like a demo job than pyro job!

  • DAMN that looks like fun!

  • Awesome, I would like to see more of these!
