this is a very popular sport,but the USA dominates this sport when it comes to the Olympics. We just keep killing these countries. Don't get me wrong... i love this sport.Loved it since i was 5yrs old. When we shut the other teams out by 12-0 or 3-0... watching the game gets boring. i wanna see a game not a dead give away. Nevertheless GO CAT!!! AND GO USA!!

that has nothing to do with it cassie usa dominates many sports but softball only started in the olympics in 96 it was short lived.its just not a popular sport if it was there would be a pro league in usa like the nfl and nba but there isnt.

the IOC committee voted it out w/baseball a few years ago. 1st they said because they got it confused w/baseball and then they said that it was because not enough countries play softball and USA dominates the sport too much.
