So what if Motown had signed "The Temps" before Ruffin ! They had two singles that
had very little success before Ruffin joined in 1964. Meanwhile, many wonderful black recording artist were having top hit records: Freddie Scott was #1 in the summer of

Thank you for acknowledging ( even though that statement is not made on this post) that David Ruffin was
the BEST Temptation. HOWEVER, and more importantly, DAVID RUFFIN is the BEST SOUL SINGER TO EVER WALK THIS PLANET. As I stated: NO ONE HAS EVER SANG IT LIKE DAVID RUFFIN.....SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL !
To be honest, Temps became the temps without Dave. They made it into Motown without Dave. But they would have not been as CONSTANTLY electrifying without Dave. Let alone, a MAJOR HIT.
Hmm....Just like The Rock and the Nation....
Faarooq was the Nation's Otis. But that changed when Rock took over. Nobody would really remember the Nation if it wasn't for (The Rock) Rocky Maivia.
@U4Know2 But yeah, I didn't read your whole comment. You were in HS with Ruffin was officially a Temp?! (When the epic "My Girl" came out) Dang, so you would know about how that all came about.
But yeah. Made this to establish a direct comparison between David Ruffin of the music world and The Rock of the pro-wrestling world. They both established the groups they were brought into.

Without David Ruffin, the move "The Temptations" would have been a total bore..
Too bad the credit was not given where it was due, for WITHOUT DAVID RUFFIN,THERE WOULD BE NO "TEMPTATIONS". They would have been one
of MANY talented black groups, that were trying to make it on the charts . I
was in high school when "My Girl " was released (December of 64) that launched them into super stardom. DAVID RUFFIN WAS MAGIC......NO ONE HAS EVER
SANG IT LIKE RUFFIN CAN !

The Rock established NOD, as Ruff did the Temps.
Which is the reason why I made this.

I'm sure I'm beating this theme like a dead horse, but it applies. Been waiting forever for this idea to come to me.
