  • A most excellent video!

    Very serene and peaceful!

    5*****Stars and a new subscriber.

    Hugs from Nancy in Canada

  • Hmm, I never replied?

I make a point of replying to everybody, my apologies.

Thank you very much and thanks for the subscription.

Chances are I won't be doing the extended version of this so whatever comes next will be greatly different.

  • AND LO, suddenly your subscription disappears.

    Fun times.

  • You are much like God

  • I've been saying that for years.

  • 5 Stars!!!

  • For me!?

Aw shucks Mr fly, you make me blush!

  • Is the program that you used to make this video expensive?

  • It is free for non-profit creations with limited render quality and scene size.

99 USD will get you the full license.

Head over to planetside(dot)co(dot)uk for the free version, I suggest staying away from the terragen 2 beta... Rendering can take days instead of minutes but has more terraforming options.

  • Beautiful video,Quasi!

  • Hi fly!

    Thank you.

  • Hi Flyhghgy!!

  • WoW! Very nice. I would rather see you vlog with your web cam.

  • My art not good enough for you Shannon?

  • Cheers Tam.

  • Awesome man....awesome. The beauty of natural things.

  • Hai MBD!

Yes nature is wonderful... Pity then, that there isn't a single piece of natural nature in the entire video.

    ^^

  • photoshop? where r they from

  • I use a program called TerraGen to create a basic 3d scenery model which I fine tune (read: change completely) until I like it. Then basic texturing and lighting effects can be done either in TG or PS.

Rendering takes 3-10 minutes depending on size but creating the perfect scene CAN take hours.

I'm still pretty new to this and as my skill increases I should be able to create and render a scene within 15-20 minutes.

  • r u employed??

  • If I was employed I wouldn't have time to waste on these things ^^

  • ub40 ftw

  • Group, claim or both?

  • medi-cal but its all good rite?

  • wow u r fast. howz hicks

  • Hicks is fine, he's sleeping off his dinner.

    Gmail notifier FTW!!!

  • my cat wants to chase and swat at him

  • Swatting Hicks would be like tugging the Hulk's pubes...

    Vicious lil' guy!

  • gremlin climbs up the banister w bare claws and leaps at me when i come down the stairs

  • You sure it's not an ACTUAL Gremlin?!

  • this is uncertain

do real gremlins want in/out every 10 min?

  • Depends on who they want to kill I guess.

  • BWAhahahaha

  • no mouse problem any more

  • Oh yes i like this. Very nice. I think a bit longer would have been so much better. Love the choice of pics very calming. Cant wait to see more.

  • Hi Kim!

It takes a while to make these pictures, if I knuckle down I can churn out a few more to pad out my library and will make an extended version.

I'll probably remove pic 3, I made the rocks a little too green and it all seems washed out, though it was one of my first creations.
