Quite honestly, the dub of this was done very well. Vic, Aaron, and all the other voice actors were really good for the characters. Sure, sometimes I like things dubbed, or subbed, but a lot of times I like both. This is one of those Animes.

Anime on the other hand is way more broad (age-wise), for example Elfen Lied and Gantz are really dark and most of the time better suited for more mature people.

@xChibiYumiChan No. Brotherhood has a completely different plot and much faster pace than this. The manga wasn't done when this came out so Arakawa-sensei asked the makers of this anime to make a different storyline. The first few episodes of both anime are the same but new characters will come out episode 15 of brotherhood and that's when it gets awesome. You'll probably be disappointed with the animation but the story line of bro is very much worth watching!!!

You know, I was surprised that the voice actor that voice acted my fav character in Bleach also voice acted Edward Elric, who is my fav character in Fullmetal Alchemist but when I found that out, then saw this episode again and noticed that the voice of Edward sounded the same as Hitsugaya from Bleach.

@blooburry14 Sub has the real meaning of emotion to it, you actually understand and see how the character really says and feels. In a dub, they don't dub everything correctly and the switch things around and most importantly, they leave things out :/ I was watching Fruits Basket's opening in Japanese, then when I compared it to the crappy English version they sung wrong notes, blanked out and some parts and the screwed up the whole song.

@meowth900 There's a difference between the two. The sound of the voices is the main one, and a lot of times the dub changes the dialog (though, not often with Funimation) to make it more "Americanized." So no, they aren't the same thing.

I like this plot but I like Brotherhood's more so;it had an ending that was complete while this felt unresolved with a better ending I would give this a 10/10 but as it is I give it a 9.5/10 as nice as it is to have a more realistic ending it just wasn't satisfying I give brotherhood a 9.8/10 because it just felt less serious and had a too much comedy in it but I like the animation style better for brotherhood but the only thing I like better in this is Ed's animation he looks more mature :D ..
