So a report on religious freedom carried out by a Catholic organization revealed that the most persecuted religion in the world is Christianity? Go figure!
@VidMasterZ Nah, it's been carried on by other reports. Just look it up on Google. It's officially confirmed now and it makes sense looking at all those Muslim countries.
@GreenBottleCap What do you call what the US, etc. are doing in Middle Eastern countries? And I'm sure there are more Muslims there than Christians for them to oppress, so whatever numbers you're getting are complete bullshit. Regardless, this religious violence bs needs to stop.
@VidMasterZ Lol, I was thinking that you would have read the article by ATHEIST Ayaan Hirsi Ali, "The War on Christians". What Christians are going through in the middle east for WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN is worse than in Iraq. I'm not saying that the situation in Iraq is awful, but let's not forget that some Muslim countries participated in the coalition in Iraq so it had nothing to do with religion. Iraqis aren't being killed for being Muslims. That's the difference.
May the cries of the persecuted cry out to God our Father and to Jesus Christ his son, our Saviour and may the Holy Spirit be with all the persecuted who live and die for their Faith.
"THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES IS NOT IN ANY SENSE FOUNDED ON THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION." (Treaty of Tripoli, Article 11: Written during the Administration of George Washington and signed into law by John Adams.)
Stand ready do not sleep, be ready at anytime 'for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.' -NIV Bible (something like that i do not want to misquote the Bible
wtf, why was israel on that map? israel is the only country in the middle east where the christian population is bigger now than it was 50 years ago. or forty, or thirty, or twenty... visits to christian shrines have been increased drastically... sure, there is some threat to christian life from islamic extremists but i don't think that's the main focus of palestinian terrorists if u catch my drift.
@schindler91589 yo dawg, its there cause thats where it came from, the holy city is, the temple it to be rebuilt, and the cornerstone to our religion from a geography stand point, and no... in minneapolis minnesota there are muslims that jump you for being christian (i lived there and i know someone shot for it) so dont come around talking s*it you don't understand i was questioned by 6 of them on my bus if i was christian when i was in third grade
@99feets you seem to have completely failed to comprehend the simple english in my post. I'll try again. there was a map of places where Christians are threatened and persecuted. There are any number of countries in the world where this is the case. Israel, for some reason, was on that list. That makes no sense, as Christians have thrived in Israel, and it is the only country in the middle east where their population has grown. Minneapolis has nothing to do with anything.
Most of what you americans hear about isreal is completely off base. The chaldean catholics in isreal and palestine are pretty much eradicated, as are many other minor religious sects that nobody seems to care about.
@moonletters You do not know who you are speaking to. I have lived there for significant periods of time, measured in years, not months. The persecution of some Christian sects within the West Bank by their Muslim neighbors is an ongoing problem, and has led to a severe drop in their populations, but it's nothing nearly as dramatic as what has happened in egypt, Jordan, Iraq... There is also a lot of hostility between Palestinian Christian sects with Catholics being a tiny minority.
@schindler91589 So because the persecution is no longer "as dramatic" we shouldn't worry about it? I do not doubt that you know of what you speak, as you say you are speaking from experience. However, you cannot have surge in population in your first comment and then a severe drop in your reply. I merely meant to point out that isreal was on the map for a reason, and that specifically the catholic community had been almost wiped out while many Christian sects survive with lowered numbers.
ahem. radical secularists? where? in places like europe, seculars make up the majority, and christians aren't put on trial there. and seculars in the middle east (almost non existant) are hardly the problem. this video tries to put too many people to blame.
But yes, I am sorry that there are Christians in the world who are facing persecution. It's wrong to harm someone just because of their religion. But Christianity has done more than its fair share of persecuting people as well. Let's face the truth here, guys.
@PriestChristopher ummm... you mean the holy wars? not talkin mess tryin to find out what you refer to... cuz no true christian following christianity is gonna persicute... so... that being the case are you talkin about the ones who dont follow his laws? cuz they are not christians... true christianity has never persicuted do you disagree? (tryin to make conversation not start somethin)
For centuries and centuries, the bringers of most persecution and discrimination have been Christians, against people who refuse to become Christian. It's still going on today. It's funny how the former persecutors are complaining about being persecuted. I know that not all Christians were persecutors and not all of them are discriminatory against non-Christians. There are good Christians. But they have been far and few between.
@PriestChristopher I have complete understanding what I am saying, but do not understand what are you saying are you suggesting the bible proposes to persecute? In the old testament there are places where they say to kill off an entire city or not to be like the gentiles, but not in the follow them around all day discriminating, and in the new testament isn't there something like try and teach them and if they don't listen dust off your sandals and move on...?
@99feets, No, you really don't The New Testament did not teach to discard the Old Testament. Jesus said he had come to fulfill the old laws, not to do away with them. He also said he had not come to bring peace, but to bring the sword. I could EASILY justify the murder of non-believers with the Bible, easily!
@PriestChristopher for real? or MAYBE HE WAS TALKING ABOUT REVALATION WHEN HE IS ON THE ******* HORSE WITH A SWORD?!?!?!!?!?! COMING IN THE ENDS OF TIME.... you don't understand, your either ignorant, or blaspheming, regardless this conversation is over :) have a nice day
@99feets. Furthermore, if the Old Testament is no longer valid as you claim, why do you still use parts of it? You see, what you do is you cherry pick. You use the parts that make you look good, and discard the parts that make you look bad.
@PriestChristopher what makes it look bad? include more than just a *cherry picked phrase*, yes it is valid, w/e don't follow it is you don't want to, kill people, steal, rape do whatever, just know that it doesn't matter if you convince people on a youtube video if the old testaments not valid, you gotta bring it up with God if your wrong, same if I'm wrong :/
@99feets The Christians came into sacred Greece and they robbed, ransacked, destroyed the Temple of the Gods, murdered Priests and people who refused to become Christian. And that was just one culture they did this to.
This report is from the Catholic Organization, it's a Christian source. The Christians are the most persecuted because the Christians say so? Are you kidding? Tell that to the Pagans, the Native Americans, and the countless people who were sent to their graves because they refused to become Christians.
@PriestChristopher Do those that are being sent to their graves now for being Christian not matter?
Sadly, there are black spots in the history of Christianity thanks to some that claimed to be Christian and did horrible things in the name of Christ. That doesn't change the fact that right now, across large portions of the world, Christianity is being persecuted.
The Christians are still widely persecuting people today. They are totally disrespectful and aggressive towards Hindus in India, there are Christian Priests in Africa who murder children on the charges of Witchcraft. You can call those who killed in the name of Christ not true Christians all you want, but the fact remains that we never saw such mass religious murders until Christianity came. They got their justification from the Bible. Plain and simple.
Christianity is not persecuted it just doesn't make any sense. Have you seen how Muslims are treated?. Come on now, Israel is practically trying to create a modern day Holocaust trying to kill the Muslim population in Israel.
@bloomingdedalus I don't think you can use that as a significant comaparison. Such one's are in a minority. A large percentage of the world IS religious (as much as this grates many atheists). They disagree on many things, of course, but many recognize that there is good evidence for a Supreme Being, a designer, an intelligent First Cause to the universe. What i am saying is that such a belief is not without merit, evidence, and neither is it "moronic". Have you considered the evidence yourself?
@Shazoolo I see, so killing or dying for a cause is ok if you're in the majority? Like gassing Jews then - that must have been alright since the majority of Germany accepted it at the time.
Can you please point out one tiny bit of evidence for a supreme being that I may consider?
A large majority of the world used to believe the world was flat. The Catholics murdered Giordano Bruno foe saying that the stars were like the sun only further away.
@Shazoolo Also, I think by your comment, one could make the case that atheists are in fact the most persecuted group in the world when it comes to religious beliefs or lack thereof. American Christians have made a recent habit of going to Africa, teaching people to call children witches and getting parents to murder their children. All in the name of Jesus - Christians are as violent, cruel, brutal and evil as Muslims - the world would be better off without any of you.
If you found bloomingidiots comments offensive feel free to turn the other cheek or go to "The God Delusion Excerpt: Hate Mail" to see this this monkey get come upping' s. please return to your viewing...
@frinkL7 Not all Christians are Catholic. The study makes no mention of the persecution of Catholics around the world, rather the persecution of Christianity in general.
Had you paid attention, you would have learned that the study wasn't commissioned solely to study the persecution of Christians, but to study the state of religious freedom around the world. Particular religions aside, religious freedom, per the study, has declined in the last two years.
it is great news that now Russia is the the greatest land of freedom for Christians after being the land of blood of Martyrs under the Soviets. untold priests and laity were exterminated, estimates are in the millions. now Evangelicals are sheep stealing, they would do better to go to these lands mentioned and try to make an impact if they really had courage instead of sheep stealing in Russia and Latin America....stealing off Orthodox and Roman Catholics....
@XDragasesX You must not be aware of the amount of mission work that Protestants do in the lands mentioned in the video. It's considerably more than the Catholic and Orthodox churches. I wouldn't say that evangelicals are "sheep stealing" either. Perhaps Russian Christians are just seeing that Protestant doctrine is more sound. Are the parishioners not allowed to decide which church they want to go to or should they be yoked to a tradition?
@tomopotamus with all due respect, Christians just don't go into other Christian lands and try to convert, that is sheep stealing pure and simple. The RO Church is the fastest growing "denomination" in the world, they are finally getting bak on their feet after the bloody persecutions of the Soviets. Russian Christians are not seeing the truth of protestant doctrine, there are over 20,000 protestant sects and doctrines that is chaos, and God is not the author of chaos. The Evans that are there..
@tomopotamus used bribery with food and other things. The state finally had to move in to protect its' citizens against unscrupulous tactics, money offerings were disappearing, etc...try getting a visa to go to Russia for religious reasons it is not happening. As for Tradition 2 Th 2:15 "Therefore brethren stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle". Nothing wrong with traditions it is biblical. Missionary work would be better off in W. Europe...
@tomopotamus where unwed pregnancy is out of control and atheism is rampant. I didn't mean to go on. In my church Orthodox, we have an early Typica and Liturgy (once a month) some of the Russian immigrants come to our church for the typica, light their candles and even Baptise their babies here, but still go to the Baptist or whatever Prot church weird isn't it. BTW I saw that guy Jesus Wars on your comment page, he is out there, he is what St. Paul called a Judaizer, take care keep researching
All religion is the problem with this world, and christianity is persecuted because of it's insane contradictions, and blatent stupidity. How many times has science proven the "word of god" WRONG the holy dribble's moral philosophy is good but the rest is just pure nonsense.1 shinning example the SUN it was said by priest that god said the earth is the center of the universe and the sun went around us people were jailed and put to death for this. use your heads & logic and it all falls apart
Another example is birth control in africa men with aids have sex with their wife or a 14 yr old girl and don't wear a condum because it's a sin so they are causing the death of someone else ( a sin ) so that they don't sin if that doesn't make sense that's the logic of your stupid book. Also it is believed that if they have sex with a new born they will be cured of aids but that's not a sin just ask the pope (poop) who lets pedofile priest off the hook
moses went up on the mountian and talked to a burning bush if someone said that today they would be put in an institution or dismissed as NUTS. the bible is not the word of god it was written by PEOPLE therefore it is a made up bunch of contadictory nonsense. as a kid I used to go to sunday school and was kicked out because of QUESTIONS they could not answer LOGICLY. A logical person can point out the contradictions & nonsense someone blinded by foolishness can not.
@ninjamixer As far as Moses goes yes that's true. People would look at someone as being nuts, but in case you never actually read any of the Bible. People looked at every Prophet, even Jesus as being nuts. They actually killed Jesus for thinking he was nuts. That doesn't prove that God didn't actually appear in these crazy manners. It just means it's difficult for people to think that it's possible because it is outside of the normal realm of perception. I get your point, but that proves nothing
@FallenSeraph87 The jews killed jesus because he was starting to spread the word of christianity which went against their religious beliefs. it is not outside the normal realm of perception for god or houdini to appear in a burning bush it is outside the realm of reallity Example: Son of Sam he said his neighbors dog told him to kill people because the dog was possessed by a demon but if there is a god there has to be demons to right??? so maybe he was telling the truth is what you are saying???
@ninjamixer The jews killed Jesus because He claimed to be the Messiah and equated Himself with God the Father. In doing so the jews believe He blasphemed because they thought He was a lying bullshit artist, a weirdo, out of his mind. Get the point? It is out of the realm of normal perception because normal people don't witness supernatural events. Am I saying in every case of witness something supernatural that it's all real? No, but just because one isn't real doesn't mean they all are fake.
@ninjamixer Now personally I am not in any way attacking your opinion of religion. I could care less honestly. You want to hate religion and religious people then go ahead, but I'm defending a position where you are wrong. You don't know enough about religion to attack as you have shown. Your logic is skewed and just a play on words when it comes to how rules work. You have no real evidence. You're just spewing venom you read from unreliable sources. That's not how to debate. It's immature.
@FallenSeraph87 spoken like a true christian I don't hate people I do however hate religion as it affects (infects) daily life for everyone you can deniy that if you want but it is a fact I'm done with this debate but I leave you with one hypothetical question if you were in nazi germany hiding jews in your basement and a nazi knocks on your door and asks if you have jews hiding in your house do you lie (sin) or say sure they are in the basement go get em causing their death (sin)
@ninjamixer In the words of St. Thomas Aquinas, it is not lying if the person is not worthy of the truth. The death of an innocent person is a Mortal Sin. As a human, it is part of your responsibility especially if you're a Christian to defend life. Lying is not a Mortal Sin unless under circumstances in matter of something pertaining to a grave offense. Lying to protect human life is not a sin. That is just a stupid way of you trying to prove some contradiction as a pathetic last resort.
@ninjamixer You're also giving the impression you hate religious people. Why? You're mocking the fact that religious people are persecuted instead of defending the right for people's opinions. That means you don't care for people who are persecuted if they are religious because you hate religion. You go out of your way to bash religious people as being stupid and/or mindless for their beliefs so please don't look at me like I'm the idiot for you seeming to hate religious people.
@FallenSeraph87 Again reading comprehension I don't hate anyone for their belief I hate that it shoved in everyones face on a daily basis. when someone does something that does not follow the christian faith they are persecuted or mocked.Example gay people want a better example Jack Kovorcian (sorry if spelled incorrectly). I'm simply saying the contradictions and the belief that this is the only religion that is right is nonsense who says christians are right why not pagans or the myans cont.
who's beliefs were centries old before christianity they atleast prayed to a tangiable entity the SUN you can see it you can feel it there is no deniing that it is there proof positive can you say the same for your god NO! so don't talk to me like I am an idiot when you can not give 1 shread of evidance for proving your god exists. wouldn't a real god step in and stop crusaders(terrorists) from killing people in his name? think about it you will say freewill and that is a BS answer
@ninjamixer Dude, seriously stop with the reading comprehension bullshit. It's quite obvious from how I type that I understand my English pretty well. You obviously need reading comprehension since you look at everything too literally and not how it meant to be understood. I said based upon your attacks and lack of care for these people you seem to give off the impression you hate them.
@FallenSeraph87 I look at everything too literally??? I understand a fairy tale when I read one on the other hand one could say i'm not reading deep enough I also undestand hipocratical ideology Example the good fairy tale book teaches peace yet the catholic church protests at planned parenthoods ( facility or construction of 1 at town meetings and depending on the amount of people w/ common sense the church usually wins) now is that peacful to an already emotional girl? isn't that her choice??
@ninjamixer As well as in my first response of you hating Christians I said you want to hate Christianity or Christians then go ahead. That doesn't mean I'm saying you 100% most certainly are hating Christians. I'm saying whether you do or not is irrelevant to me. I'm arguing against your lack of understanding how a certain religion works and your lack of evidence in showing contradictions or disproving religious beliefs. I also have agreed with you on not persecuting anyone for their beliefs.
@FallenSeraph87 thats purely hipocratic how many people do you see outside protesting mass??? or sunday schools? NOW the church does some good in charity and helping to spread the word of humanity (but that's just common sense ) but that's what the church is a glorified charity just today I held the door for a person carrying something I don't need some imaginary spirit to tell me what's goo, bad, right or wrong and you say I don't understand what i'm reading? that's is an example of why I ..
@FallenSeraph87 question your comprehension skills. here is another one the title of this vid. christians are the most persecuted religion umm.... ( same question about protests) this country operates on this, GOD is printed on our money, it's in the everyday life even for people who believe in other gods or none at all has millions of followers who warship the wizzard if oz, before you curse (sin, but say a hail mary or two and you are good again)at me again I feel all religion should is......
@FallenSeraph87 a right people have to believe in and should be practiced in a place of warship( not in our streets, or politics) in your homes I have NO problem w/ that BUT if you want to spead the word of humanity yet protest other things that people believe it brings up some questions like who is being pesecuted?? who is doing the persecuting?? and are these people for real? Ever hear of the bible belt? where like alot of senators live and believe in this fairy tale LITERALLY I don't need...
@FallenSeraph87 or want these people making decisions ( and i'm sure I speak for more than myself (selfless act))for me nor do I want to change anyones mind ( this is an open forum for opinion and comment) I just think if you want to get your message out there fine but have SOME consistancy Adam and eve the story I know and I know it's metophors but how about? just telling it like it is this means this and this means this instead of blanket contradictary hipocitical statements like FREEWILL why
@FallenSeraph87 can't things just be? why is easy to believe a spare rib became the worlds first mom?? and had 2 BOYS ( in islam or judism they have a sister differant names but same story) populate the earth??? ( homosexuality is a sin and not possible) WHY is it hard for religion to accept and teach good will and the truth (evolution)???I could go on and on with questions that show the hipocritical, contradictary, stupid side of religion it is not necassary to make it some blown up thing that
@FallenSeraph87 runs our everyday lives and lying (hipocitical and sinful) to your followers I'm sorry if you feel I have insulted or offended you personally but there are ways to end the "persecution" how's my reading comprehension?? I know how religion works and it has alot of problems not just your religion ALL religion!!
@ninjamixer Okay there dude. Whatever you say. You know it all my friend. It was unwise of me to actually try to challenge your vast knowledge of everything in the world. I can't continue this on-line anymore because you clearly don't get anything with religion and you are misunderstanding anything I'm trying to clear up for you. You just keep sticking to your stereotypes of religion. I really just don't have the energy anymore, sorry.
@ninjamixer And you are also mixing facts as well. I never said religion doesn't affect life in a negative way. I said religion like any belief or opinion or anyone in a position of power for any purpose can be corrupted and used for evil. I'm saying evil is the problem. I'm not blaming it on something that can be used as a means. I'm blaming it on the true source which is the darkness of men which isn't religion, politics, or the fault of anyone except that individual person's drive to do wrong
And last but not least, it isn't religion that is the problem. It's ignorance, stupidity and self-righteousness that is the problem. Everyone is accountable for this error though. People in religion can be wrong by taking their own views out of context and hurting others by not doing what is right for it being right. That doesn't mean anti or non religious people aren't held in account to the same degree though. They are at fault for bad things they do as well. It's people that are to blame.
@FallenSeraph87 religion causes these flaws in people because it creates fanatics. There is supposed to be seperation of church and state and there isn't they go hand in hand. especially in this country (USA), laws are based on these rediculous beliefs even though not everyone in this country is a christian they are bound by this belief. If there were no religion there wouldn't have been wars with millions of people dying in the name of god. religion is the problem
@ninjamixer Anything in the world can cause a fanatic. I can easily say you are a fanatic who wants to end religion based upon your own opinion so you aren't any better. Read some history pal, there are countless event throughout all of time where wars, disasters, genocide, violence took place having NOTHING to do with religion so if religion were gone then there would still be horror. The horror would just be blamed on another source. That's the truth, you just need to blame something you hate.
@ninjamixer You are taking the AIDS argument out of context. Sex is meant to be between a married couple open to having children. Any sex outside of marriage is sinful. If a person has AIDS and is capable of transferring his/her disease to another person through sexual relations then he/she should not be having sex at all. Even condoms don't 100% ensure the prevention of disease transfer through sex. In this case you're saying it's okay to almost kill someone because he/she is horny and selfish.
@FallenSeraph87 you need some reading comprehension classes. NO I don't think people with any STD should have sex but fact of the matter is they do. even devout christians have pre-marital sex nor do they have a child every time but the only time they should ( according to the bible ) is when married and to have a child. Example go to any latin country you see them holding rosary's, praying, and all that good stuff and yet 98% of their teenage girls have children, unmarried, and 1 on the way
@ninjamixer I don't need reading comprehension. You made a claim that if a person with AIDS has sex then it is a sin according to Christian Faith to wear a condom. Once again you are taking out of context. It doesn't matter what someone does, it matters what is preached. If anyone wants to have sex outside of marriage then they are already sinning so wearing a condom is at that point no different. Your argument means nothing then. The person already sinned, what is one more going to matter?
@ninjamixer Also you need to cool it with the damned talk. The Church teaches that Mortal Sin leads to damnation. A Mortal Sin needs to be Grave Matter, Full Knowledge, and Full Consent of Will. If a person doesn't know he/she is sinning then it isn't a Mortal Sin. The Church also fully acknowledges the psychological aspect of a person. If a person has problems, things of that nature, the sin isn't completely their fault hence not a Mortal Sin. The Church also teaches no one ca judge but God.
@ninjamixer So just because a sin may fall into a specific category, God is still merciful and not an idiot. He would know the complete mental aspect as well as the true intention of a person's heart so only He can judge a soul to Hell and if He does then it's fair to say He can prove Himself right in the situation. However, God wants to do everything He can to save people. That's the true meaning behind the Christian Faith. Not the mockery people make of it through their own faults.
@FallenSeraph87 second the point is that birth control of any kind is a sin. A condom may not be 100% effective but it is a far less risk than not using 1 so according to christian faith you are damned if you do damned if you don't thats a contradiction
@ninjamixer Maybe your argument could be taken seriously if you actually made sense. You're claiming the Word of God is disproved by the fact that Sun revolves around the Earth even though the Word of God never states anywhere that the Earth is the center. It was a belief of people at a time period who had nothing even remotely Divine to back as evidence. That's stupidity on man not God. Just because Priests said so doesn't make it Infallible proof.
@FallenSeraph87 NO i'm not saying the sun is proof it is the point that people that defied the church were jailed and killed by christians. There are plenty of examples of how science has proven the bible wrong to this day. and I was taught that the bible is the word of god. People even to this day take the bible litterally word for word. Again that's stupidity on mans part but so is to believe that there is some spirit in the sky and that you will live on forever in heaven that's just foolish
@ninjamixer Once again just because people can't understand fully what the Bible teaches doesn't make the Bible wrong nor God wrong. It needs to be understood in the correct perspective. There are plenty of times in the Bible where things are symbolic, where it's a story to teach a deeper meaning, there are metaphors, hyperboles etc. It is not foolish to believe in Heaven and there is no spirit in the God. If God is real, He is in His own realm of existence not floating in space.
@ninjamixer The priests can say whatever they want. Fact of the matter is, the Bible never says that the Earth is the center of the universe or that the sun went around the Earth.
We are at the beginning of a worldwide persecution. The humanists/secularists,atheists and Muslims will attack Christians ferociously. Tolerance is taught but intolerance is practiced. No worry though, it is God`s plan.
@ninjamixer ~ Jesus said "Pick up your cross and follow me" So Christians do just that. "I AM the way, the truth and the life" said Jesus. Those that desire truth and life follow His way, those who do not, go their own way. God respects humans freedom and dignity to accept or reject Him. He does not force Himself on anyone. Your comments expose your education as coming from unhistorical and unreliable sources. If you are going to argue you need to study scholarly material.
@001Ricochet I don't need scholary material I have common sense and logic If you believe in that it's your right but I have the right to not have it affect my (and everyones)daily life and it does with laws that are based on this (in my opinion) crap god my not force himself on everyone but his followers sure do
@ninjamixer People are not born with "common" sense nor logic. These attributes are acquired through learning from other people. Even ones` conscience must be informed by some standard. Exactly what American laws influenced by Christianity offend you so much? They are all based on the premise "Do unto others as you would have done to you". They are only accepted rules of decency. Also, are there really Christians "forcing" themselves on you? I have never seen such a thing. Call the cops on them!
Ah, I see you're a fan of Dawkins. I suppose that explains why you'd come up with inflammatory and ridiculous statements like "Religion is the CANCER of Humanity" - you sound just like your ignorant hero.
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
Good work!!! Christ, please take care of your children that their persecuted!

Minneapolis has nothing to do with anything.
schindler91589 1 year ago
@schindler91589
Most of what you americans hear about isreal is completely off base. The chaldean catholics in isreal and palestine are pretty much eradicated, as are many other minor religious sects that nobody seems to care about.
moonletters 11 months ago
@moonletters You do not know who you are speaking to. I have lived there for significant periods of time, measured in years, not months. The persecution of some Christian sects within the West Bank by their Muslim neighbors is an ongoing problem, and has led to a severe drop in their populations, but it's nothing nearly as dramatic as what has happened in egypt, Jordan, Iraq... There is also a lot of hostility between Palestinian Christian sects with Catholics being a tiny minority.
schindler91589 11 months ago
@schindler91589 So because the persecution is no longer "as dramatic" we shouldn't worry about it? I do not doubt that you know of what you speak, as you say you are speaking from experience. However, you cannot have surge in population in your first comment and then a severe drop in your reply. I merely meant to point out that isreal was on the map for a reason, and that specifically the catholic community had been almost wiped out while many Christian sects survive with lowered numbers.

ahem. radical secularists? where? in places like europe, seculars make up the majority, and christians aren't put on trial there. and seculars in the middle east (almost non existant) are hardly the problem. this video tries to put too many people to blame.
frinkL7 1 year ago
But yes, I am sorry that there are Christians in the world who are facing persecution. It's wrong to harm someone just because of their religion. But Christianity has done more than its fair share of persecuting people as well. Let's face the truth here, guys.
PriestChristopher 1 year ago
@PriestChristopher ummm... you mean the holy wars? not talkin mess tryin to find out what you refer to... cuz no true christian following christianity is gonna persicute... so... that being the case are you talkin about the ones who dont follow his laws? cuz they are not christians... true christianity has never persicuted do you disagree? (tryin to make conversation not start somethin)
99feets 1 year ago
@99feets. By this statement, I can tell you've never read the whole Bible. Either that or you're cherry picking like many Christians do.
PriestChristopher 1 year ago
For centuries and centuries, the bringers of most persecution and discrimination have been Christians, against people who refuse to become Christian. It's still going on today. It's funny how the former persecutors are complaining about being persecuted. I know that not all Christians were persecutors and not all of them are discriminatory against non-Christians. There are good Christians. But they have been far and few between.
PriestChristopher 1 year ago
@PriestChristopher I have complete understanding what I am saying, but do not understand what are you saying are you suggesting the bible proposes to persecute? In the old testament there are places where they say to kill off an entire city or not to be like the gentiles, but not in the follow them around all day discriminating, and in the new testament isn't there something like try and teach them and if they don't listen dust off your sandals and move on...?
99feets 1 year ago
@99feets, No, you really don't The New Testament did not teach to discard the Old Testament. Jesus said he had come to fulfill the old laws, not to do away with them. He also said he had not come to bring peace, but to bring the sword. I could EASILY justify the murder of non-believers with the Bible, easily!
PriestChristopher 1 year ago
@PriestChristopher for real? or MAYBE HE WAS TALKING ABOUT REVALATION WHEN HE IS ON THE ******* HORSE WITH A SWORD?!?!?!!?!?! COMING IN THE ENDS OF TIME.... you don't understand, your either ignorant, or blaspheming, regardless this conversation is over :) have a nice day
99feets 1 year ago
@99feets. Furthermore, if the Old Testament is no longer valid as you claim, why do you still use parts of it? You see, what you do is you cherry pick. You use the parts that make you look good, and discard the parts that make you look bad.
PriestChristopher 1 year ago
@PriestChristopher what makes it look bad? include more than just a *cherry picked phrase*, yes it is valid, w/e don't follow it is you don't want to, kill people, steal, rape do whatever, just know that it doesn't matter if you convince people on a youtube video if the old testaments not valid, you gotta bring it up with God if your wrong, same if I'm wrong :/

This report is from the Catholic Organization, it's a Christian source. The Christians are the most persecuted because the Christians say so? Are you kidding? Tell that to the Pagans, the Native Americans, and the countless people who were sent to their graves because they refused to become Christians.
PriestChristopher 1 year ago

PriestChristopher 1 year ago
Christianity is not persecuted it just doesn't make any sense. Have you seen how Muslims are treated?. Come on now, Israel is practically trying to create a modern day Holocaust trying to kill the Muslim population in Israel.

@Shazoolo Right, just like suicide bombers and 9/11 hijackers and school shooters.
bloomingdedalus 1 year ago
@bloomingdedalus I don't think you can use that as a significant comaparison. Such one's are in a minority. A large percentage of the world IS religious (as much as this grates many atheists). They disagree on many things, of course, but many recognize that there is good evidence for a Supreme Being, a designer, an intelligent First Cause to the universe. What i am saying is that such a belief is not without merit, evidence, and neither is it "moronic". Have you considered the evidence yourself?
Shazoolo 1 year ago
@Shazoolo I see, so killing or dying for a cause is ok if you're in the majority? Like gassing Jews then - that must have been alright since the majority of Germany accepted it at the time.
Can you please point out one tiny bit of evidence for a supreme being that I may consider?
A large majority of the world used to believe the world was flat. The Catholics murdered Giordano Bruno foe saying that the stars were like the sun only further away.
bloomingdedalus 1 year ago
@Shazoolo Also, I think by your comment, one could make the case that atheists are in fact the most persecuted group in the world when it comes to religious beliefs or lack thereof. American Christians have made a recent habit of going to Africa, teaching people to call children witches and getting parents to murder their children. All in the name of Jesus - Christians are as violent, cruel, brutal and evil as Muslims - the world would be better off without any of you.

frinkL7 1 year ago

XDragasesX 1 year ago
@XDragasesX You must not be aware of the amount of mission work that Protestants do in the lands mentioned in the video. It's considerably more than the Catholic and Orthodox churches. I wouldn't say that evangelicals are "sheep stealing" either. Perhaps Russian Christians are just seeing that Protestant doctrine is more sound. Are the parishioners not allowed to decide which church they want to go to or should they be yoked to a tradition?
tomopotamus 1 year ago
@tomopotamus with all due respect, Christians just don't go into other Christian lands and try to convert, that is sheep stealing pure and simple. The RO Church is the fastest growing "denomination" in the world, they are finally getting bak on their feet after the bloody persecutions of the Soviets. Russian Christians are not seeing the truth of protestant doctrine, there are over 20,000 protestant sects and doctrines that is chaos, and God is not the author of chaos. The Evans that are there..
XDragasesX 1 year ago

BTW I saw that guy Jesus Wars on your comment page, he is out there, he is what St. Paul called a Judaizer, take care keep researching

All religion is the problem with this world, and christianity is persecuted because of it's insane contradictions, and blatent stupidity. How many times has science proven the "word of god" WRONG the holy dribble's moral philosophy is good but the rest is just pure nonsense.1 shinning example the SUN it was said by priest that god said the earth is the center of the universe and the sun went around us people were jailed and put to death for this. use your heads & logic and it all falls apart
ninjamixer 1 year ago

A logical person can point out the contradictions & nonsense someone blinded by foolishness can not.
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@ninjamixer As far as Moses goes yes that's true. People would look at someone as being nuts, but in case you never actually read any of the Bible. People looked at every Prophet, even Jesus as being nuts. They actually killed Jesus for thinking he was nuts. That doesn't prove that God didn't actually appear in these crazy manners. It just means it's difficult for people to think that it's possible because it is outside of the normal realm of perception. I get your point, but that proves nothing
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 The jews killed jesus because he was starting to spread the word of christianity which went against their religious beliefs. it is not outside the normal realm of perception for god or houdini to appear in a burning bush it is outside the realm of reallity Example: Son of Sam he said his neighbors dog told him to kill people because the dog was possessed by a demon but if there is a god there has to be demons to right??? so maybe he was telling the truth is what you are saying???
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@ninjamixer The jews killed Jesus because He claimed to be the Messiah and equated Himself with God the Father. In doing so the jews believe He blasphemed because they thought He was a lying bullshit artist, a weirdo, out of his mind. Get the point? It is out of the realm of normal perception because normal people don't witness supernatural events. Am I saying in every case of witness something supernatural that it's all real? No, but just because one isn't real doesn't mean they all are fake.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@ninjamixer Now personally I am not in any way attacking your opinion of religion. I could care less honestly. You want to hate religion and religious people then go ahead, but I'm defending a position where you are wrong. You don't know enough about religion to attack as you have shown. Your logic is skewed and just a play on words when it comes to how rules work. You have no real evidence. You're just spewing venom you read from unreliable sources. That's not how to debate. It's immature.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 spoken like a true christian I don't hate people I do however hate religion as it affects (infects) daily life for everyone you can deniy that if you want but it is a fact I'm done with this debate but I leave you with one hypothetical question if you were in nazi germany hiding jews in your basement and a nazi knocks on your door and asks if you have jews hiding in your house do you lie (sin) or say sure they are in the basement go get em causing their death (sin)
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@ninjamixer In the words of St. Thomas Aquinas, it is not lying if the person is not worthy of the truth. The death of an innocent person is a Mortal Sin. As a human, it is part of your responsibility especially if you're a Christian to defend life. Lying is not a Mortal Sin unless under circumstances in matter of something pertaining to a grave offense. Lying to protect human life is not a sin. That is just a stupid way of you trying to prove some contradiction as a pathetic last resort.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@ninjamixer You're also giving the impression you hate religious people. Why? You're mocking the fact that religious people are persecuted instead of defending the right for people's opinions. That means you don't care for people who are persecuted if they are religious because you hate religion. You go out of your way to bash religious people as being stupid and/or mindless for their beliefs so please don't look at me like I'm the idiot for you seeming to hate religious people.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 Again reading comprehension I don't hate anyone for their belief I hate that it shoved in everyones face on a daily basis. when someone does something that does not follow the christian faith they are persecuted or mocked.Example gay people want a better example Jack Kovorcian (sorry if spelled incorrectly). I'm simply saying the contradictions and the belief that this is the only religion that is right is nonsense who says christians are right why not pagans or the myans cont.
ninjamixer 1 year ago
who's beliefs were centries old before christianity they atleast prayed to a tangiable entity the SUN you can see it you can feel it there is no deniing that it is there proof positive can you say the same for your god NO! so don't talk to me like I am an idiot when you can not give 1 shread of evidance for proving your god exists. wouldn't a real god step in and stop crusaders(terrorists) from killing people in his name? think about it you will say freewill and that is a BS answer
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@ninjamixer Dude, seriously stop with the reading comprehension bullshit. It's quite obvious from how I type that I understand my English pretty well. You obviously need reading comprehension since you look at everything too literally and not how it meant to be understood. I said based upon your attacks and lack of care for these people you seem to give off the impression you hate them.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 I look at everything too literally??? I understand a fairy tale when I read one on the other hand one could say i'm not reading deep enough I also undestand hipocratical ideology Example the good fairy tale book teaches peace yet the catholic church protests at planned parenthoods ( facility or construction of 1 at town meetings and depending on the amount of people w/ common sense the church usually wins) now is that peacful to an already emotional girl? isn't that her choice??
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@ninjamixer As well as in my first response of you hating Christians I said you want to hate Christianity or Christians then go ahead. That doesn't mean I'm saying you 100% most certainly are hating Christians. I'm saying whether you do or not is irrelevant to me. I'm arguing against your lack of understanding how a certain religion works and your lack of evidence in showing contradictions or disproving religious beliefs. I also have agreed with you on not persecuting anyone for their beliefs.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 thats purely hipocratic how many people do you see outside protesting mass??? or sunday schools? NOW the church does some good in charity and helping to spread the word of humanity (but that's just common sense ) but that's what the church is a glorified charity just today I held the door for a person carrying something I don't need some imaginary spirit to tell me what's goo, bad, right or wrong and you say I don't understand what i'm reading? that's is an example of why I ..
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 question your comprehension skills. here is another one the title of this vid. christians are the most persecuted religion umm.... ( same question about protests) this country operates on this, GOD is printed on our money, it's in the everyday life even for people who believe in other gods or none at all has millions of followers who warship the wizzard if oz, before you curse (sin, but say a hail mary or two and you are good again)at me again I feel all religion should is......
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 a right people have to believe in and should be practiced in a place of warship( not in our streets, or politics) in your homes I have NO problem w/ that BUT if you want to spead the word of humanity yet protest other things that people believe it brings up some questions like who is being pesecuted?? who is doing the persecuting?? and are these people for real? Ever hear of the bible belt? where like alot of senators live and believe in this fairy tale LITERALLY I don't need...

@FallenSeraph87 or want these people making decisions ( and i'm sure I speak for more than myself (selfless act))for me nor do I want to change anyones mind ( this is an open forum for opinion and comment) I just think if you want to get your message out there fine but have SOME consistancy Adam and eve the story I know and I know it's metophors but how about? just telling it like it is this means this and this means this instead of blanket contradictary hipocitical statements like FREEWILL why

ninjamixer 1 year ago
@ninjamixer Okay there dude. Whatever you say. You know it all my friend. It was unwise of me to actually try to challenge your vast knowledge of everything in the world. I can't continue this on-line anymore because you clearly don't get anything with religion and you are misunderstanding anything I'm trying to clear up for you. You just keep sticking to your stereotypes of religion. I really just don't have the energy anymore, sorry.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@ninjamixer so, your religion is new age? hm, zeitgeister? ;)
LilyOfTheValley385 1 year ago
@ninjamixer And you are also mixing facts as well. I never said religion doesn't affect life in a negative way. I said religion like any belief or opinion or anyone in a position of power for any purpose can be corrupted and used for evil. I'm saying evil is the problem. I'm not blaming it on something that can be used as a means. I'm blaming it on the true source which is the darkness of men which isn't religion, politics, or the fault of anyone except that individual person's drive to do wrong
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
And last but not least, it isn't religion that is the problem. It's ignorance, stupidity and self-righteousness that is the problem. Everyone is accountable for this error though. People in religion can be wrong by taking their own views out of context and hurting others by not doing what is right for it being right. That doesn't mean anti or non religious people aren't held in account to the same degree though. They are at fault for bad things they do as well. It's people that are to blame.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 religion causes these flaws in people because it creates fanatics. There is supposed to be seperation of church and state and there isn't they go hand in hand. especially in this country (USA), laws are based on these rediculous beliefs even though not everyone in this country is a christian they are bound by this belief. If there were no religion there wouldn't have been wars with millions of people dying in the name of god. religion is the problem
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@ninjamixer Anything in the world can cause a fanatic. I can easily say you are a fanatic who wants to end religion based upon your own opinion so you aren't any better. Read some history pal, there are countless event throughout all of time where wars, disasters, genocide, violence took place having NOTHING to do with religion so if religion were gone then there would still be horror. The horror would just be blamed on another source. That's the truth, you just need to blame something you hate.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@ninjamixer You are taking the AIDS argument out of context. Sex is meant to be between a married couple open to having children. Any sex outside of marriage is sinful. If a person has AIDS and is capable of transferring his/her disease to another person through sexual relations then he/she should not be having sex at all. Even condoms don't 100% ensure the prevention of disease transfer through sex. In this case you're saying it's okay to almost kill someone because he/she is horny and selfish.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 you need some reading comprehension classes. NO I don't think people with any STD should have sex but fact of the matter is they do. even devout christians have pre-marital sex nor do they have a child every time but the only time they should ( according to the bible ) is when married and to have a child. Example go to any latin country you see them holding rosary's, praying, and all that good stuff and yet 98% of their teenage girls have children, unmarried, and 1 on the way
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@ninjamixer I don't need reading comprehension. You made a claim that if a person with AIDS has sex then it is a sin according to Christian Faith to wear a condom. Once again you are taking out of context. It doesn't matter what someone does, it matters what is preached. If anyone wants to have sex outside of marriage then they are already sinning so wearing a condom is at that point no different. Your argument means nothing then. The person already sinned, what is one more going to matter?
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@ninjamixer Also you need to cool it with the damned talk. The Church teaches that Mortal Sin leads to damnation. A Mortal Sin needs to be Grave Matter, Full Knowledge, and Full Consent of Will. If a person doesn't know he/she is sinning then it isn't a Mortal Sin. The Church also fully acknowledges the psychological aspect of a person. If a person has problems, things of that nature, the sin isn't completely their fault hence not a Mortal Sin. The Church also teaches no one ca judge but God.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@ninjamixer So just because a sin may fall into a specific category, God is still merciful and not an idiot. He would know the complete mental aspect as well as the true intention of a person's heart so only He can judge a soul to Hell and if He does then it's fair to say He can prove Himself right in the situation. However, God wants to do everything He can to save people. That's the true meaning behind the Christian Faith. Not the mockery people make of it through their own faults.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 second the point is that birth control of any kind is a sin. A condom may not be 100% effective but it is a far less risk than not using 1 so according to christian faith you are damned if you do damned if you don't thats a contradiction
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@ninjamixer Maybe your argument could be taken seriously if you actually made sense. You're claiming the Word of God is disproved by the fact that Sun revolves around the Earth even though the Word of God never states anywhere that the Earth is the center. It was a belief of people at a time period who had nothing even remotely Divine to back as evidence. That's stupidity on man not God. Just because Priests said so doesn't make it Infallible proof.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@FallenSeraph87 NO i'm not saying the sun is proof it is the point that people that defied the church were jailed and killed by christians. There are plenty of examples of how science has proven the bible wrong to this day. and I was taught that the bible is the word of god. People even to this day take the bible litterally word for word. Again that's stupidity on mans part but so is to believe that there is some spirit in the sky and that you will live on forever in heaven that's just foolish
ninjamixer 1 year ago
@ninjamixer Once again just because people can't understand fully what the Bible teaches doesn't make the Bible wrong nor God wrong. It needs to be understood in the correct perspective. There are plenty of times in the Bible where things are symbolic, where it's a story to teach a deeper meaning, there are metaphors, hyperboles etc. It is not foolish to believe in Heaven and there is no spirit in the God. If God is real, He is in His own realm of existence not floating in space.
FallenSeraph87 1 year ago
@ninjamixer The priests can say whatever they want. Fact of the matter is, the Bible never says that the Earth is the center of the universe or that the sun went around the Earth.

@ninjamixer People are not born with "common" sense nor logic. These attributes are acquired through learning from other people. Even ones` conscience must be informed by some standard. Also, are there really Christians "forcing" themselves on you? I have never seen such a thing. Call the cops on them!
