The drive gear doesn't use a set screw to hold it to the main shaft. The shaft has a flat cut on it that the gear slips onto which holds it fine, until it lands roughly. Then the drive motor spins without turning the propeller. Real easy to remove the battery, line the gear back up, and gently press back into place- and fly again. I love this heli.
What is your impression of the Trex 100? It didn't seem to fly that well judging from this video but that could have just been the conditions you were flying in.
Also, what happened at the end there? I've seen the same thing on other Trex 100 videos after it was subjected to a minor crash. Did something break or did something just need to be popped back into place?

hey !!!! without canopy the trex has not center of gravity , so is unstable, try to put a canopy to retablish balance

God this video should be titled "The Crash-fest". It certainly does not look as capable or durable as the mSR.
