  • I hope you baught beer for that 1

  • Nice Job!!!

  • that's awesome! he held his cut away cord!

  • LOL that's a tiny, fast opening canopy!!!!

  • wow that deployed fast, is that a skyhook?

  • no its not he doesnt even seem to have an rsl,u can clearly see him pulling twice, once to cutaway and again to deploy the reserve.

with a skyhook u only need to pull once and it cuts away and deploys the reserve by using the main as a huge pilot chute to pull the reserve out of the container.Skyhook will deploy a reserve faster after cutting by u dont need to pull another handle. But all reserves will deploy very quickly when pulling ur reserve handle because they have spring loaded pilot chutes.

  • actually thats an incorrect analysis. if you are trained well you are trained to NEVER rely on an rsl. you are always supposed to pull both as a precaution even if you have your rsl activated

  • no, its a perfectly fine analysis, you can clearly see a delay. if u dont believe me just search for the video of Arnaud's second cutaway he was a line over causing him to spin on his back and after he cuts he gets stable and waits about 7 seconds before deploying his reserve.any1with eyes can see that he does not have a skyhook or rsl in this video. my analysis is just fine u can clearly tell his reserve does not deploy until he pulls and his 2nd video confirms that he indeed does not have arsl

  • search for "Arnaud Cutaway #2"

  • pss, im not argueing that u should or shouldnt rely on an rsl of course u should always pull both handles. my first comment was just in response to was that a skyhook? which as i correctly definitely is not as his 2nd video makes even more obvious. i dont like rsl in any situation they just give a false sense of security and make ur rig that much more complicated.

  • you are changing your argument now. first you said the evidence that he didnt have an rsl was because you saw him pull twice. i was informing you that (while its true that he may not have an rsl) that is not conclusive evidence since many ppl are trained to pull twice even if they do have one.

  • yes always pull twice i was simply pointing out that in this video he does not have an RSL. i am not arguing that u shoudlnt pull both handles no matter what. my comment was to say that in this video he does not have an rsl which he does not, not to argue about how skydivers should be trained as u should def always pull both handles no matter what.

  • also my original comment was that u can see a delay. he cuts away free falls for an instant then pulls and his reserve deploys. with an rls or skyhook his reserve would have deployed much faster than shown in this video which was my original argument.

  • Yes, pull both handles. Yes, it looks like he did pull his reserve himself. Yes, you should never rely on an RSL. But even the makers of SkyHook would never say, "you only need to pull to cutaway."

Anyway, the dude was flying a camera and most freefall videographers do disconnect their RSLs to avoid a camera entanglement with any part of their main or reserve in the event of a cutaway. They may then clear their main and get stable before the reserve deployment.

  • hahaha Arnaud tu me m'avais jamais montré tes talents en tant que chanteur :)
