I totally agree with this. I bought the Philadelphia Philharmonic's recording of Beethoven's 7th and it was easily the worst recording of a "professional" orchestra I've ever purschased. (BTW, I recommend the Vienna Philharmic; they're recordings of Beethoven's symphonies are wonderful)

Doubtful. VY Canis Majoris is the largest star discovered by volume, but by mass I don't think it's big enough to even cause noticible effects on earth at that range when it goes supernova beyond the visible light. And telling the exact year a star is going to supernova? Good luck with that :P

VY Canis Majoris will not bring Earth life to a screeching hault. It is much to far away to affect us in anyway. It will damage neighboring solar systems within 3-5 lightyears and probably destroy them, but it will not kill us on Earth.
