I think you are being serious, which is unfortunate. If you read the FRB charter you will notice that Congress DOES NOT have authority to do a full audit of the FRB. FRB outsources yearly audits which are offered to congress without detail. $20 Bil profit ? REALLY ? Treasury then can do 1 of 2 thinks with this alleged profit. What might those be ? yes is at a 52 week high against the euro, but that doesn't mean the dollar is worth any more. it means the euro's value is sliding as well. the dollar is just as weak as it has been for last year, if not weaker. the price of gold these days is higher than it has been all year. it takes more dollars to buy the same amount of gold b/c each dollar is worth less. same applies for the euro.
And no, the fed is not audited by congress. they are almost completely unaccountable- A private bank.
