There's a slight difference between a word you use for a sibling and a military position. Just an FYI.

Learning Japanese from anime is only bad if you don't look up the words yourself and rely fully on the subs for the meanings. Also, you gotta be careful with what words or expression you pick up from an anime, because they often turn out to be silly colloquial (ergo, if you use it you sound dumb) or really really rude expressions.
