No offense, but I think it's a bit vague at best and misleading at worst to say that Ann Hutchinson was banished for teaching Sunday school. It was WHAT she was teaching, and the fact that she was a "preacher" preaching to men, something condemned by St. Paul himself (1 Cor. 14, for example), as well as women, that caused her troubles. Her teachings were heretical, and she refused to back down from teaching them, and that is why she was banished.
