Yes you swedes are proud of them, and rightfully so but.... -You never used the type yourself? They were used in Denmark, Norway, Belgium and Czhecoslovakia but NOT in Sweden, exvept ther very first one (T41) from USA which still runs.
The NOHABs are the most beautiful diesels I know. Many people here in Germany consider the V200 and V200.1 (220 and 221) as beautiful... but in my opinion they ´re ugly compared with the NOHABs. When I was a small boy I got my first N-scale model railway - now guess what type the loco was? *g* Today I´m a train engineer, and seeing such a NOHAB-beauty (some private German railway companies have them in service, one of them in a "Santa Fe"-livery *g*) always makes me happy.
True, the look a little bit like Santa Fe-s, but they're DEFFENETLY NOT! I'm Hungarian, and here, in my country, only a few is left, and about 2 of them is in a museum... We got them from the Czechs, somewhere in the '50es... Of course, they were all red, with a red star in a white circle on the front, 'cause we where a part of the Soviet Union on those days...
How could you say some shit, that Hungary was part of the Soviet Union. Hungary was part of the East Block, but it was never part of the Soviet Union. I am Hungarian and I advise you to go back and learn history. If you say such stupid things you are not Hungarian...
Don't think I'm stupid. When I said "part of the Soviet Union", I meant that there was a communist oppression, and that they thought of Hungary as their region. I'm also Hungarian, and despite my age, I know a few things about history... It's just that I sometimes screw up to express what I really think, so I could save time writing...
Second: I posted that comment about a year ago. What the fuck to so long to reply it? And I'm asking the community, not you.
