  • This is deffinately the best gunbarrel.

  • Love this gunbarrel. I love the way Bob Simmons walks on. So casual, its like he doesn't have a care in the world. Then he turns round and shoots a gun!

  • Dosent this seem to have a bit of edge!

  • Hahah most ludicrous gun barrel I've seen so far, been watching through some on youtube, in this he's too much to the right of the circle and he jumps like a clown when he turns, what a pathetic try at a gunbarrel, Dalton and Craig are objectively far superior at this.

  • love how bob simmons jumps to the side of the gunbarrel, while every one else stands in the middle

  • I love the tapping on the high hat on this one.

  • Sean was on his way home when Maurice Binder was making the gunbarrel, so he got stuntman Bob Simmons to do it. That's why Bond's body is in silhouette

  • @AgentDABOY007 - That's also why Bond is wearing his hat in the sequence. Starting with Roger Moore, Bond didn't wear his hat.

  • No.Original gunbarrel GF are better.

  • This was the perfect gunbarrel sequence, the music in this one is just right.

  • That's not Sean Connery. He wasn't in the gunbarrel opening until Thunderball (the next film).

  • Yeah, they used a double for the barrel. Lol I am still wondering why they didn't let Sean do the gunbarrel.

  • I don't think he'd been hired yet. If memory serves, they didn't find him until a few weeks before filming began.

  • Oh, that makes sense. Thanks.

  • @CountArtha - I'm not sure if that's accurate. I've read that Maurice Binder was hired after filming of Dr. No began, and he was asked to devise an opening credit sequence. As he sat waiting in the outer office to Broccoli and Saltzman, he thought up the gun barrel sequence as a way to start the movie. Then the gun barrel worked it's way into future films.

  • Your right.

Bob Simmons was a stuntman for the James Bod movies. He was in the Gun Barrel during the first three Bond films.
