  • 0:23 ! WTF ! Hundreds / Thousands of GENERALS MARCHING !

  • Comment removed

  • To defeat Egypt. Send an Army to Alexandria SOON AS POSSIBLE by ship, the area with pyramids? That is your PRIMARY target to take out Egypt. Theres a reason why I picked that area too because its the best if you are playing as Scipii.

I already saw troop movement on this awhile back long time ago with Egypt.

Egypt is a WAR MACHINE and I hate it lol.

  • @DarkPrinceNH5570 I argree :P they are superpowers along with Rome if you play a different faction :P take out Egypt First!!!!!

  • EAGLE again ;)

  • mostly their army consisted of spearman, yet they can barely hold their own against the roman factions

  • @EmporerAaron No Egypt is a super power and is a bitch to play against as Scipii.

I love playing as Scipii but rushing up there is a pain in the ass and I like to PERFECT my "EMPIRE" before doing that. You have to blitz Egypt as Scipii. Its easier as Julii and Brutii because you have different enemies to worry about. Scipii is the hardest to play as of the 3 factions. You can take your time as Scipii but it takes forever and will be too late. Cleopatra will throw everything at you

  • this faction makes good 'lebensraum' for the roman empire. must have that fine port city to increase revenue.

  • there was a time when i memorized every single words of the intro of all the factions... good times. Really hope for Rome 2

  • @minh1905 Yeah, I think they're purposefully avoiding this for some reason; probably for how hard it would be for them to make so many factions with such different militaries. Upsetting really.

  • @SlyOcalai Of course. The pharaoh was the reincarnation of Horus and when a pharaoh died his spirit went to be one with Osiris. The pharaoh was more then just king and emperor,he (or she) was God.

  • because missa has spoken!

  • @takerms

You are correct however about what Egyptians have historically looked like(although historically they were a little more olive skinned). Look up Fayum mummy portraits on google, and you can see a close image of what Ancient Egyptians looked like.

  • Pharaoh is a title used in many modern discussions of the ancient Egyptian rulers of all periods. The title originates in the term ‘’pr-aa’’ which means ‘’great house’’ and describes the royal palace. The title of Pharaoh started being used for the king during the New Kingdom, specifically during the middle of the eighteenth dynasty. For simplification, however, there is a general acceptance amongst modern writers to use the term to relate to all periods.

  • shouldn't Egypt should be Greek during this Era , this is like Ancient Egypt from like 4000 years ago!

  • Lol. That last line takes me back to the Ten Commandments films with Charleton Heston.

  • Actually by the time of Rome's Apex, with Greece conquered, the Dynasty ruling Egypt started speaking the language(Egyptian) and adopting local culture because being associated with Greece was no longer what it used to be.

  • its sad how i had a good relations with them than i just started wiping them off as if it was nothing...because they were useless and didnt help me with anything >:|

no one says no to the roman general when he demands it !

  • @1236sason i wiped them out cause they blockaded my port in africa, once someone declares war on me i dont stop untill they beg for their lifes, i demand a region when they offer peace, and i just wipe them out for good

  • @EmporerAaron i start wars with others more often than others start wars with me @ _ @

but than i fall into economic problems ...outs of money , etc

but everyone has their own tactics when building their empires and going on the battle field , some use brains some use force...i use the force ...lol the force xD

  • I like history i have read too long about Egypt .. Yes the Rulers were Greek but they tried to look like Egyptians to get the love of it's people,by praying to their gods and wearing they clothes,Though Egyptians kicked their ass out ...

    Egyptians hate aliens :D

  • any no how 2 change the videos in rtw and make them the ones actually in the game?

  • @123DROCK Arabs didn't set their foot outside of the arabian Penninsula until 600 ad with the muslim conquest. I'm sure arabic trade occured, but not a heavy influx on the egyptian society at this day and age.

  • and the only threat to my ever-growing Egyptian empire in this game, was Moses.

    God damn Religion.

  • these guys treat the pharoah like preteen girls treat Justin bieber.

  • In a way i'm glad they made Egypt in the game stereotypical (mummies, headresses etc) because its what everyone recognises when you say Ancient Egypt

  • This guy is a pharoah fanboy

  • man, i wish if someone make a skin-mod for the Egyptians, cause those are poor for then....

  • This was when black people were great

  • My father did this before me and his father . lool family work

  • OMG Numidian spearmen OWN! Awesome early-game phalanx units.

  • Total War serie was never meant to be historically accurate..... and there are a lot of examples of this in many TW games. A lot of modders worked hard trying to fix that.

  • You want historical acuracy go play Europa Universalis rome ( which I must say is a great game ) if you want historical acuracy over entertainment dont come to you tube to bitch

  • Oh will you sad gits bugger off.

Yes we know this Egypt faded long before the time line of rome total war but they made Egypt like anicent Egypt to give the game a bit more variety and to make a challange.

As there where allready enough hellenistic kingdoms in the game Macadon Greek Cities Selucia thrace and to a lesser extend pontus

Why add another when you could add a great eastern nation

lighten up its a BLOODY COMPUTER GAME it does not have to be acurate that whould be boring..

  • I don't understand does Creative Assembly know anything about history because those troops in the egypt intro DID NOT EXIST IN 270BC. These are from The golden Era of Egypt which is about 1300BC. Can they ever get their history right. I do not play origial RTW anymore only mods especialy Roma Surrectum 2 which gives very accurate troops for Egypt as well as other nations.

  • wow this guy is a total suck up to the pharoh.

  • i think i am american now because i

    write English now

  • egypt is awesome. im white. but my first girlfriend is egyptian. well.. born in canada but egyptian ancestry from mother/father and up. so i had a little bit of the egyptian rub off on me. both literally and figuratively ;)

  • Too bad arabs took over Egypt... :(

Egypt or Kemet was once so strong, yet now they are just another crappy muslim/invader infested country. How many people in Egypt actually know how to speak Coptic today or other old Egyptian languages?

    No prick remarks please...

  • @havee3333333 sorry to troll your comment but...egyptians were always arab :)

  • @XxUlTiMATESHAGUARxX

That is the most ignorant thing I have heard today. If by arabic you mean Semitic, then that would have made more sense. Also, we say "arab" to distinguish people that speak arabic or are from arabic speaking origins. The Ancient Egyptians spoke a variety of languages similar to Greek. In fact, their last language before the arab invasion was Coptic. And, the Coptic alphabet is an adapted version of the Greek alphabet except it has 6 additional letters that the Greeks don't use.

  • @havee3333333 sorry i said my comment wrong,i ment the arabs were always RELATED to the egyptians, and yes do your research they were...for a fact....related

  • @XxUlTiMATESHAGUARxX egyptians are actually african

  • @XxUlTiMATESHAGUARxX

No shit Sherlock. I did my reseach, if you actually read anything I wrote, you would understand. I said that Egyptians and arabs where both Semitic people, making them related. This also means that arabs and Jews are related...

I can't believe you actually told me to "do my research." Please tell me one thing in my last comment that wasn't information that you knew about. This is exactly why no one likes Americans; you hide your own ignorance by calling others ignorant

  • @havee3333333 i was just pointing out that there related.also a couple other things. 1.what the fuck do you have against americans? not all of them are ignorant you stupid dumbfuck thats just as absurd and stupid as saying that every inhabitant of africa has aids.i agree some of us are influenced by propoganda but that does not mean we are all stupid, uneducated, and ignorant.2.EVERYONE i mean everyone,is ignorant about something.people were not born knowing everything.

  • @XxUlTiMATESHAGUARxX

I do not have anything against Americans, but the vast majority of them don't know the basics. I have heard your government is going to shut down tomorrow. It's quite sad that a great country can't afford to run their government.

BTW, being related does not mean very much. An example is, the Turkish people are related to the Indians and Pakistanis by language and traditions. Can you spot the difference?

  • @havee3333333 vast majority..ehh...like a bit under half most people i met are quite intelligent americans.but yes it is extremely sad -__- but all empires rise and fall..like the egyptians up here :)

  • @XxUlTiMATESHAGUARxX

Empires do rise and fall, but that is only because overtime most of them become corrupt or inoperable. I think if a government was run by a 3rd party, such as computers, we would have an empire that lasts until the end of the world.

Just think about it, computers rather than humans managing a world wide empire. I doubt it would ever fall, though there might be some ethical problems with that.

  • @havee3333333 true..never thought of it that way, but i would imagine the computer system would be heavily defended (because it would be able to be hacked)

  • @XxUlTiMATESHAGUARxX

I still think computers have a long way to go. I know that the system I'm talking about would need decades of technological advancements before it can even be purposed. Hopefully in the future we can give computers a mind of their own, so they'll be able to fight off hack attempts and viruses like how we fight off sicknesses.

  • @havee3333333

    Ever watched Terminator....?

  • @SuperSupaSAIYAN

There is a certain difference between the real world and Hollywood.

Real world decisions should not be made based on movies which have the purpose of entertainment.

  • @havee3333333 ........There's a little thing called Skynet. Big burly Austrians traveling back in time to utterly destroy humanity. Shape-shifting cyborgs stabbing people. I don't like that thought.

  • @14GloryofRome14

I think the same comment I sent to SuperSupaSAIYAN applies for you too.

  • @havee3333333 rofl dumbasses i bet u mindfreaked them

  • @havee3333333

?so the problem is our language

    ok

    we can live with that

  • @haithamsalah1

Language is just a small piece in a puzzle of differences. If you cannot even conceive the aspects of a superior race, than why do you bother even learning about Ancient Kemet? If you think that Ancient Egyptians and arabs were a similar race, than I will call Jews and arabs a similar race too because they came from Semitic ancestors.

That is the only real similarity between arabs and ancient Egyptians, Semitic ancestors... There are more, but those are small similarities.

  • @havee3333333

    and............

    what is that meaning?

  • @haithamsalah1

    Learn to read English...

  • @havee3333333

first if i learn English i will be american or British (as you say)

second Jews is religion not (race) like islam or Christiane

and there are black and white and they live in all over the world

russia africa europ egypt morraco iran yamen usa but you are fuckin idiot didn't know what he write

and i can see that in your channel to

  • @haitha

I said learn English because it is required when speaking to someone who is speaking English, so they can understand you.Yes, Jews are a religion and not a race I never said that.I don't know where your getting the black and white thing from?I never said anything about skin color.

arab is not a race, unless you live in an arabian country.Like saudi arabia or uae. People in modern Egypt are called Egyptian, not arabs.

This is why I said learn English because you miss understand things

  • @havee3333333 you are ignorent arab are less than 10 percent the rest are egyptian if you look in the temples you will see that they have brown skin just like today you are so stupid some times allians bulid the pyramids and some time niggers go fuck yourself

  • @takerms

Please don't call people ignorant, as you have to concept of that definition.

Yes, although 90% of the population of Egypt are Egyptian, that only refers to the people ethnically related to Egypt(that could also include being Sunni, Shai(Fatimid), Jewish, Coptic, Armenian, Turkish, or other minorities and majorities in Egyptian history.

According to the Arab League, about 70 million people in Egypt are considered Arab. That is the source I use.

    -continued-

  • Hey you guys should download some mods.Search Total War Center, and it has a whole section for mods. They make everything more accurate.Especially the Egyptians.

  • Epic History Fail

  • @TheChairmaker Wats the fail?

  • @BladeStrikes the fail is that the egyptian faction in rtw is one big giant anachronism. The rulers of egypt were greek at that time and the units in the game look like they're from 1000 BC lol.

  • @Herbstgespenst Oh......to bad I still like them:D

  • @Herbstgespenst another Big fail is that CA made Carthiginian Generals and Agents look Middle Eastern/African.

  • @Herbstgespenst while it does seem that Egypt is outdated, you have to remember that Ptolomey respected Egyptian traditions, and wished to make a Greco-Egyptian kingdom, hence the egyptian phalanx and the improvement of the cavalry

  • @Herbstgespenst Look at Europa Barbarorum. They realized who the Ptolemies were BEFORE they made the game. :P

  • @Herbstgespenst That's what makes Egypt fun to play in RTW, it looks like the ancient Egypt, before it fell and became persian, and later on greek :) Don't you think ? :)

  • @Herbstgespenst Download rome total realism, they're historically accurate.

  • The day the protests against Mubarak started in Egypt, I decided to pick up my campaign as the Scipii that I had started a couple of months ago, and realized that all of my territories in Egypt were rebelling. Needless to say, I found it oddly amusing.

  • @14GloryofRome14

    LOL

I did the same thing, I raised the taxes on all of my territories and all of my settlements started to riot. It was like the IRL protests against mubarak, only I was mubarak.

  • @SlyNicolai

just try to have a longer legionary line than there phalanx line, dont engage but get close enough to were you are in pila range, throw your pila(thus getting there attention) but dont charge in then have any melee calvary swarm around the back and destroy the phalanx. dont worry about there calvary unless they try to do the same to your infantry or have a general. that always works for me with carthage when i fight those guys

  • Brutii mother fuckers

  • 10 people have no dicks.

  • Arab Squad nigga's hahahha

Macedon Rulz !!! fuck Egyptian xD

  • I play Rome Total War every day for 1 hour before going to bed, sweet dreams.

  • CA got the Egyptians so wrong for this period.

  • @pandapop999 Well, I think they thought another Greek-style faction would be somewhat...boring.

  • We need another Imperial Egyptian Dynasty to conquer Europe and America.

  • always that one eagal

  • hahahahahah... return of the mummy armies.... the egyptians were fighting like the seleukid at this period...

  • @FaakedLillebror true the egypt this period was a hellenistic kingdom and fought with hellenistics armies

  • hail the farao

egypt got the power for 3000 year

so is it writing so shal it by

  • @fighterforEGYPT Pharoah

  • 9 Selecuids have watched this video.

  • @ayhanalpertokgoz Haha, good one.

  • His voice ...

Makes me want to be an Egyptian

  • "So it is written, so shall it be."

    Sounds like my maths teacher=D

  • @TheBasjenator or jesus

  • That intro is historically inacurate. Those times Egypt was a Hellenistic kingdom with Phalanxes and a lot of mercenaries....The mumy age was gone centuries before 270 bc.....

  • @Jeffanos indeed

  • @Jeffanos but the units are egyptian.with egyptian armor.with egyptian religion.all that is diferent is that the units:Nile Spearmen,Pharaoh's Guards and Nubian Spearmen are phalanx users.

  • And even Germania has phalanx.

but Greeks had never been in Germania.

  • @Emilianovick Yeah, that's the biggest fail in the whole game.

  • @Jeffanos This is something called a videogame. There are many mods (EB, RS, RTR) and history books outside if you want to learn history.

  • @prdude1234 Am i suposed to answer to your idiotic comment??

  • @Jeffanos LOL I'm juts saying that this is a video game. Not a history lesson. I like to play games for fun not to learn history. If you want a historically accurate game there are a few mods (Europa Barbarorum and Rome Total Realism are the best) which make this game highly accurate.

  • @Jeffanos

i noticed that too, but i like it, because pharaos belong to the ancient setting ;)

  • @Jeffanos yes but would it be awesome to hear the Hellenistic thing or this Egyptian intro; i prefer this intro, even though it is historically inaccurate but is fun and awesome to hear and watch.

  • @Jeffanos True but didn't the Potolemic dynasty ressurect some aspects like worshipping Egyptian Gods and declaring themselves to be Gods in turn and I think there may have been some inbreeding too?

  • @gangstamillion True my friend but their costumes and some of their rituals were completelly different..Not to mention the Army..They used the Macedonian phalanx and they also declared their Greek ancestry my point was that they should have represent it more accurate especially their Armies since Rome is a wargame...

  • @Jeffanos true, but who doesnt love the old school Egyptian styled look tho x)? thats what makes play as them fun imo

  • Eygpt is honestly the easiest campaign in the entire game. They have an amazing starting position, Wealthy starting cities, only have to fight on one front, people more loyal than usual.

The only downside is their units arn't the best but they do well enough and you can mass them and do pretty well. Your only problem will be with selucia and selucia is not too difficult as they have a 4 front war going on almost from the beginning.

  • Awesome architecture...And his voice...So calm...Smells history from there...

  • what!? i thought you could only be the 3 roman familys

  • @bradhuygens you gotta beat the game ( take over rome and hold 50 territories) then you can unlock the new non-roman factions.

  • @Lmfao785 oh ok thank you very much

  • @bradhuygens np

  • @bradhuygens Or you could just choose to play the short campaign so you will have to only control like 15 regions (can't remember how many it was) and destroy 1-2 factions.

  • @VonTavast ok thanks a bunch iw ill try that

  • @Lmfao785 @bradhuygens you could also destroy the other factions

  • the egyptian seem so wise for some reason

  • so it is written, so it shall be

  • Egypt SUX in this game!!!

And the unit with the tall black hats sux even more!!! XD

  • @UDRA787898

No, Egypt is actually really strong. I was playing with Macedon and I could trample the Roman factions, but the Egyptians kept me out of Africa.

  • So it is Written, So Shall it Be...

  • I want the unit at 0:25!!

  • OMG Egypt in R:TW should be the Ptolemaioi (Ptolemaic Dynasty) NOT SOME MIDDLE KINGDOM EGYPT... But can't dislike the intro... It is quite ironic that CA stated that Chariot dominated egypt would fit to customers' taste than another phalanx dominated one while R:TW Egypt has a crap load of phalanx units.

  • @FUCKALLG111 100% true egypt is number 1

  • The first time I played with the Egyptians, it was quite hard.

I started well, but after a while I started losing an immense amount of money and my main enemy faction - Pontus - almost wiped out my turkish settlements, but I got my economy back up again and destroyed them. I ended up conquering all of the Eastern section of the map. =D

  • @ManelinhoAraujinho Nice :)

  • lol never do the mistake i did and go with horses against egypt...ANYTHING AGAINST EGYPT...their arrows will end you in a flash

  • I agree. Egypt is mighty and powerful. Long live Egypt! Conquer the world for Almighty Pharaoh!

  • i have a rather stupid question...what are these guys with the long helmets I can't find them any were ?

  • well i quited after months of gameplay because i was just getting tired of those rebel shit. sega realy ruined this game overestimating the power of just some stupid rebels

  • i think they made rome too strong in this game. i mean alot of these factions in real can beat rome in battles like thrace or gaul could defeat rome. but rome in the game could beat any faction easily if u kno what ur doing.

  • @aresgodofwar10 i partly agree but it is funny that in Barbarian Invasion if u play as Wester Roman Empire u can cleary see that they have waaay to much overreacted how weak rome is. i mean there are no highways even in Rome herself and every time 1 city full of scumbags rebels it risas as a rebel city thats full of organised and well-armed Wester Empire Rebels. Thats totalty bullshit none rebels like that would be so strong and well-armed.

  • "so it is written, so it shall be." epic ub3r l33tness

  • I dont have the faction intros, how do you get them?

  • A shame CA showed the Ptolemaic faction as more of an ancient Egyptian, Pharoah worshipping people than the Hellenic Kingdom they were at the time. Still a great faction to play as back then, small but great for cash and, most of all, fun!

  • you guys that say one Roman faction is stronger then the other you guys are wrong out all the Roman faction are equal to each other

  • i disagree, starting position is a huge factor....but unit wise they are equal

  • @sportsxguy22 indeed if your position is better then the other Roman faction your faction is stronger but other then that equal

well scipii historically loved the Greek culture so they were different but that doesnt have anything to do with the battlefield

  • @MrUnclepeanuts WRONG!!!!! only their armies/units are equal, the campaign experience with the 3 roman houses are rather different to one another.

  • @pwn3dn00b97 yes true but if you play campaign not as the romans you really shouldnt care and if you dont play campaign at all[online play] then you wouldnt care about that

  • @MrUnclepeanuts Noway man, they have dif units.

  • @MrUnclepeanuts yes but they really argue about what color they like the most :P

  • @MrUnclepeanuts WRONG DUDE !!! scipii have 2 naval units that the other 3 roman factions don't !!!

  • @talibanulafgan umm you are false mate

they all have the same class style of boats

  • @MrUnclepeanuts wanna bet? the scipii can build the temple of neptune, that can enable the construction of corvus quinquireme and decere...

  • @MrUnclepeanuts True, but the Julii, Brutii and Scipii seem to be set up as easy, medium and hard respectively. Think about it, the Julii are up against the barbarian factions, and although defeating them takes some grinding, no advanced tactics are needed like with the Greeks, Macedonians, and for Scipii, the various flavours of Carthaginian spearman. On top of that, the Julii have access to the most cities, and while the supply isn't terribly lacking for the Brutii, it is for the Scipii.

  • @dark297 yet you can go on war with whatever you want, and barbarian citys are not as rewarding as civilized citys. and dont forget the corruption and distance from capital, which linked.

  • @MrUnclepeanuts except for the temples they can build

  • @MrUnclepeanuts

the spqr units are slightly stronger than the regular units but they(in the campaign) dont built much army.

  • @MrUnclepeanuts there is a boat that only the scipii can build, corvus quinquireme or something like this... it is buildable only by the temple of neptune... if I remember correctly... peace !!!

  • @MrUnclepeanuts Except that there are ways for one to easily gain the upper hand. If you take Brutii and take the southern Gallic down and Sicily, you are the only one of the houses that will actually expand during the rest of the game...

  • hahahahahaha "the sand will be stained red" indeed :) I pwn as the Egyptians on rtw

  • who is the pharoah in the game

  • @mastercheif58 I dont know a single person but I know that in this time period it was the ptolemy dynasty so not sure of the leaders name but I know it was that dynasty

  • Ptolemaeus I Soter

  • i hhave my ontro losed how cn i get it back?? please help my

  • so fukken lame, fukken marketing decisions instead of heeding history :<

  • Can't help but admire their loyalty.

  • hey u get to play the egyptians???

i only get to play the romans!!!!!

  • @CodeNameD1

You need to beat the game as one of the Roman families.

Or edit the game files...but what fun is that? It's much more fun to know you won once and earned that country.

  • oh ic.... btw, what does it mean to become a protectorate

  • With that...a protectorate means you give away all independence and become a little slave for a bigger country. If you are ever asked to do that...say no unless you have only a city left and you're surrounded by allied enemies. That would help you get out of war.

  • The guy sounds Islamic rather than Egyptian, or maybe it's just me. :3

  • funny how strong egypt was then and what it has ended up ilike 2 day

  • blame cleopatra when she went all Juliet on the poman general

  • so it is written... so shall it be...

omg that rite there is prtty awesum u hafta admit lol

  • Eygypt was awsome, although they didnt really have an army. Most of it
