HOLY CRAP!!!! That is AWESOME! I love this stuff. I've never seen that demo 45 either, nice find. It's kinda funny how fast (and somewhat violent) that changer action was. It dropped the stylus down like BLAM! Fun stuff!
0:39... I hate when people say "RPMs"... "revolution per minutes." The plural of "RPM" is just "RPM." But I guess this mistake is at least 60 years old now!
I have that same exact model too, but mines has the black top, red turntable mat, and a burgundy tonearm. I'd love to get it going when I get the time to do so. Those RCA 45 players sound really good for a lofi! I also have the ultra popular 45EY2 and the sound quality is outstanding.
If you want to hear a REALLY good 45 player, check out some of Frangiul13's machines. He has one that has push-pull output tubes and it'll make you want to throw rocks at these players.
Are talking about the 45EY4 model? I've seen that one already and has plenty bass. My favorite 45 player is the 7HF45 because of the wooden cabinet and the 2-way speaker. I have that model too and can't wait to get it going!
Thanks for the kudo's Batterymaker! I also have a 9-EY-3 with an original crystal cartridge. Beleive it or not, it sounds pretty good. Probably due to the two stage amp pushing into the 4 inch speaker.
RPM is Revolutions per minute.
To say RPMs is still common.
But PIN is Personal ID Number, yet people say PIN number, and CAC is the Common Access Card, people say CAC card.
Not unexpected.
Enjoy your machine, it is a marvel from the past indeed.

I thought that tone arm was gonna end up in the neighbors yard. BTW, your 3 yr old won't remember any of it.

You're in luck! Found the number. Look for RCA D9-CX-256.
