  • If you're going to make this kind of a video, watch your spelling!! I love CAP and I love the Air Force, and this video is not making a very good impression for those you're trying to reach when you don't use correct grammar!! :)

  • @rpm1096 most airman at Airforce Academy got their start at CAP. To get into the Air Force you will have to enlist. CAP is not military. You will have to go to 3-4 meetings in order to get your papers to submit to NHQ to become a member and get sworn in. In 1-4 weeks you will receive your membership package from NHQ. Good luck I truly hope you join. It is fun and not like the vid. If you have any questions, ill answer.

  • I'm a Airman in CAP and in my opinion, CAP is one of today's unsung heroes who get little recognition even though we have saved hundreds of lives.

  • Stop trying to get sympathy when more than 3/4 of this shit is false. The CAP is a Terrorist, Tax sucking parasite that Doesn't save much lives. They think there the military, when there half-assed, Sadistic little bitches.

  • @coolcatevan9 screw you loser, you were probabbly in the homo boy scouts, CAP is an awesome program and we do 85% of the search and rescue missions, and we also have very limited funds from the goverment and must provide oursleves with uniforms et etc... go troll somewhere else

  • I'm thinking about joining. any tips?

  • hahahah ive been in CAP as a cadet for 6 years now gone to PJOC/APJOC so obviously I support the organization but this video is kinda gay, its once a week dude and weekends here and there...now NCSA's on the other hand...

  • I just joined CAP! I hope to go to both Summer and Winter encampments this year!

  • I can't stand to hear people trash talk CAP. It is a great program for our youth. These kids are Americas future in aerospace technology.

  • in my opinion, this video was very good. i like the way it compares a standard teen life style to a CAP cadets life style.

  • @Auxilliaryrules that is a true statement. its a good comparison. CAP cadets are good solid citizens and are prepared to help the communities they live in..

  • I've been a cadet in squadron 802 of CAP for 5 months and I can't take a shower regularly, and your crying because you got hit with a drop of mud. Get over it i'm only fifteen and I can. If you do the things that us CAP members have to do you wouldn't even care because we are doing it for a good cause!

  • He's not complaining. He's just comparing CAP to other teenagers/Kids. I've been in CAP for over 4 years and I love it. Yeah You have your hard times and sometimes you just want to quite but Its worth it in the end.

    Cadet 1st LT, Briggs.

  • I was in CAP as a kid, I support it, but dude, your spelling is terrible.

  • Why did You join if all your going to do is complain?.........

  • WELL DONE. Former cadet and Senior Member here, I think ALL kids in this country should HAVE to go to CAP, -it makes you able to handle ANYTHING. Good job on the video.

  • I love CAP but I hate this video, on a regular week i do cap for 3 hours, maybe 13 hours because of a weekend event, while soldiers overseas are putting in 48 hours non stop of active duty. America should not have this kind of sympathy for us...

  • Just a heads up, please proof read your video before posting, because there were many grammatical errors. It's kind of embarrassing.

  • i was watching this vid and im geting called on a ops

  • hey guess what ur in CAP for 2.5 hours a week, the rest of the time ur the same normal teenager with those regular pussy problems just gonna put that out there

  • @MrSolracable most of the cadets I know, even though the 'normal' CAP committment is 2.5 hrs a week, they live the oath they have taken they study and they practice and they give alto more time to being a great cadet.

  • Not trying to demean what you CAP guys do, but you certainly don't use maps "for a living". I fully support mil structured cadet programs, as I was a member of one myself, but this video was kind of comical and just a little ridiculous. Keep in mind that this program is an extra-curricular activity. You aren't exactly being paid to get shot at. Now with all that said, as an AD member of the USAF, I certainly wish I'd had the option to join CAP when I was younger. Keep up the good work, cadets.

  • well done...Brilliant! I know...it's the family business up here...Cadet Chief Master Sergeant Alexander John Potterton, GLR, WIWG, Madison 153rd Composite Squadron. well until my dues lapsed

  • Just an FYI, Im in the Military now, and some of the things I did in CAP were very tough and in some cases more tough than some things I do now. Its not easy if you do the job correctly and take advantage of the opportunities CAP has to offer in trainining. Im sorry your so narrow minded, but take your pessimism somewhere else please, thankyou :)

  • @C2dltCAP 1:16 OMFG in the top right(you can see his whole face) THATS MY SARG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL at least i think it is

  • @C2dltCAP So you were in CAPthen enlisted? If so give me some advice thats what I want to know. BTW I'm 13 good shape great actually and well disciplined already I just need some advice on CAP and enlisting to the USAF in a few years. Thanks

  • @rpm1096 I was pretty much in the same situation you are in, but if you join the CAP it will give you the basics for joining the Air Force. I as well hope to join the Air Force, and im in the CAP now. The CAP wont be the same as it was in the video, because hazing isnt allowed in the program anymore (meaning they treat you better than in the vid). Go to 2-3 meetings and see what you think. if you're in good shape youll survive PT (;

  • @TheCoca77cola Ok thanks well I'm on my way there good luck at getting to the Airforce. And squadron im going to be in is Frisco Blackbirds TX-389. Talk more about this with me?

  • @rpm1096 Sure. My squadron is Thunderbird Composite Squadron NM-033. I'm a Senior Airman. ill talk more about the program if you want.

  • @TheCoca77cola Please do. For example how can I be prepped should I join the USAF etc. after and what will I be doing with 40 plus members in the squad im joining

  • Boohoo! You have to go thorough all this fake crap, CAP SUCKS!!!!!

  • @coolcatevan9 like you would what we do in CAP you ignorat ass hole -_-

  • @DJBALLISTIC22 I AM IN CAP, I don't go anymore because THEY were the ignorant assholes, get your damn facts right!

  • @coolcatevan9 well you must of had a horrible squadron ..then .. but to say CAP sucks is a little far

  • @DJBALLISTIC22 Maybe it was the squadron My squadron all they do is yell get no work done act like phoneys, Expect to to do everything for them, and make up fake awards to make em look good.

  • your joking right

  • yea it may be hard but think how worth it every min. is? and how many awesome times you have and the friends for life you will have.

  • Wow cause being a volunteer in CAP is so hard.

Be advised that CAP isn't like this everywhere. Places like long island don't do shiz.

    CAP Lt - 2.5 years

  • Haha This is great! Really shows the spirit of CAP.

I really liked the caption on the lunch part.

  • at first it looked like you planned on making it looked bad now im realy going to join

  • I like the video. Im a CAP Cadet about to be a Senior Member. Its a good look on the way we do things.

  • I liked the video, well thought out and well made. Its funny how so many people i know say that the CAP just has fun, they take themselves too seriously, and they dont do anything to benefit the community (Their main example for someone who does is the Boys Scouts!) Many people need to see this and realize that we are not just a bunch kids running around in camo pretending to be in the Air Force...

  • Great Video Dude:) I completly agree with everything:)

  • At the same time you have to remember, if you're in the CAP you get to go home, you get to sleep, you get time off...active duty Air Force, or any branch for that matter, doesn't always get sleep, they don't get to go home every day, sometimes they don't eat meals. So it's a good video, but the music makes it sound like it's hell...just a tip. Remember, you still have it good compared to what we go through.

  • @tylerkhn since when when could 12 year olds be active duty?

  • @tylerkhn Your comment, "you get to sleep, you get time off" is really a non-unique point. I've ran Comms for around 50 hours straight before being relieved to get a few hours of sleep, to go back to work. When the mission calls, we put forth our all, and then some. Stating that, esentially, you don't get sleep or time off is an absurd comment to make. Just because we're not deployed doesn't mean we don't work just as hard to do the USAF's mission for them.

    Regards,

    C/SSgt, ORWG.

  • This was an awesome idea! If you get a better video editing program and clips instead of stills, like this could probably go up to National!

    Greets from Swedish Millitarydude

  • you spelled a lot of things wrong, and this video reminded me of a basic whining.

I think the idea was good, though.. but maybe a little overboard?

  • Kick ass video

    C/AMN Moorehead

  • read my first post dude... I know you dont have to be a dick

  • everything was true but the food was exaggerated.... the chow halll food is awesome!~!!!!

  • yeah, when your on base or at the academy, but whenever we go on redcaps, or any camping activity, including SAREX's... your stuck with crap. I have eaten on base 3 times for 3 encampments. but I have gone camping with my squadron or my ground team dozens upon dozens of times. whenever I think about eating in CAP, I think about trailmix oatmeal and MRE's

  • @C2dltCAP i love MRES

  • @yum2177 Only at volk field:) lol

  • @yum2177 Yea......um where exactly was your encampment?

  • Nice Job! All the stuff in this video is true, people don't realize how good they have it lol.

  • @C2dltCAP So should I join at the one that is 4.7 miles from my house?

  • job well done from C/AMN HUFF

  • I loved the video. Great Job. 5 stars!

  • haha, thanks, I really should get the edited one up!

  • haha, thanks Callum, I can get you a better edited version with out misspellings, but I think Fishy's is a lot better, Drew and I used it a Rocky last week.

  • yeah, I used it at Preston as well, only got one member from it, which kinda disapoints me

  • we didnt get anyone out of our presentation

  • out of, what is it, 1200 students at rocky?

  • about 1500...

  • great job! love how you used WYWG encampment pics, haha.

This might make a good recruitment video at Fossil Ridge next year :)

  • thanks man!

  • As a fellow Lt, don't listen to idiots like that. Your video was nice, and really highlights the difference between the average teen and a cadet.

    Semper Vi.

  • for all others viewing this video, I apologize for my spelling errors, it was a rough draft, and I also apologize for any cadets that may act as 'savecapsname' they really should not be in CAP, because they do not represent us well, and deserve a 2b (discharge) for their immoral behavior.
