@subtledog: Someone's gotta get their hands dirty to keep their surroundings clean... Leaving cliches aside, I myself ain't sure whether I'd prefer this civilized world or "jungle raaj" if I'm ever wrongly arrested for some crime and my conviction is due. Hell, sometimes they keep suspects, who might as well be innocent, in prison for infinity. A few minutes of hearing and then the court is adjourned till next hearing. Sometimes they've a vacation session while the suspect rots in jail.
