Having played the game, I have to be say I am impressed with the controllers. Even the piece where you are in the sparring grounds, and have to cut the wood logs with exact cuts was impressive. I see no problem with the control, and just cause I am an ass, I tried to use the control the game pointing at the IR. To see how Mc Sheas playstyle worked, and it was a fail....you cannot waggle in this game. He fucked up on his review badly...

The Dreamcast was a final attempt to come back, but the damage was already done. I love Sega, but they screwed themselves.

Nothing wrong with giving an OK game an OK score. Just make sure the arguments you use are sound. In this case Mr McShea's biggest argument as to why the game is just OK is because the controls are unresponsive and therefor bad....

Perhaps there was a second man playing Skyward Sword right next to him and Mr McShea was looking at the wrong screen. I have been playing Skyward Sword for some time now and I never have problems with unresponsive controls.

Sometimes he just does a vertical slash or nothing at all. I start from my waist and trust forward, I've even stood up and made a bunch of space and done it, and thrusting still only worked half the time.. and I have the special gold Wiimote, so I hope it's not my Wiimote. ; ___ ;

I don´t know but either you´re doing something wrong or your controller is broken which is very unlikely. I never have problems with any of the motions.

You don´t need to have space or stand up or anything. I sit on my couch like I do playing on my 360 and hold the wiimote and nun-chuck together like they´re a regular controller. For the thrust I just make a quick jab with the wiimote. It never fails.
