Skeeter Bass Boat Joy Ride

I own a Skeeter myself (05 ZX225) and use to own a Ranger (99 519VS). I can say that the Skeeter is a better riding boat and a faster hull. The Ranger is a more stable fish for fishing. I miss my Ranger but love my Skeeter. Nowadays, most high-end boats are good whether you're talking Nitro, Skeeter, Ranger, Champion, Legend or Basscat. My next boat is going to be a Lund.

@MercuryProTeam At this point, I'm out of the tournament fishing scene and more focused on family oriented stuff. A Lund would be a good boat to take the family and dog out. Not like I need speed anymore.

They all get ya there in the end, but if you wanna get there with style and the best ride ever then get you a Legend Alpha. I rode in one of these at Lake Fork with a guide. Wow, I cannot imagine anything being even close to this ride. It was a 2009 Alpha series. It was damn sexy, that's for sure. Smooghthest boat I have ever been on. Expensive though. I should sell the house and just live on one of these at the lake. Lol

yeah legends a good boat, and they do ride very smooth! the only problem with a legend is that they are the same people that made hawk and cobra boat, they have some small stress crack issues, other then that they're awesome.

Thats not the only reason. Skeeters draft less water and ride ok. I like my champion and its between skeeter and champion. Ranger is out of the question and a stratos is possible, but I'd have to fish in 1 first.

if speed is all you are looking for i'd go with a stratos but as far as all around fishability i'd go with a skeeter. but i cant say much about champs because i haven't fished out of many of them.

I sold my Ranger 2 weeks ago after riding in a Skeeter ZX200 and ZX225 on Lake Wheeler in Alabama and the Wind was blowing and the chop was bad and the boats were a dream ride so I bought one. Thank God for Skeeter E.S.F. p.s. Nitros are junk!!! I have tested all boats except Gambler and Bullet Skeeter Ousted them all!

Trust me, I know where they're made. Just not a huge fan of their "tale-tale" hull slap. And even though all lakes can get rough, we can swap notes about Sam Rayburn and Amistad any day you want.

I like sitting IN boats, not ON them. Great looks, and yah, they're fast, but we don't get many pristine days where I fish.
