hey! i just wonder, 236 is "ni hyaku san jyu roku"? 2 years ago i moved to japan, and i need to complete my learning, i write in romaji, but i need to say numbers good. so ni hyaku san jyu roku is 236 and 856 is hachi hyaku go jyu roku, aaaaaand like 542 is go hyaku yon jyu ni. did i got it right?
I always wanted to learn Japanese but didnt knw how then i saw this learn threw games! i was like yes i might have a chance i want to be fluent in 3 diff languages i already knw spanish and English ima try it out Ty =)
And the prononciation can be easily memorized but hard to repeat. Thanks for all the work you've done to teach us though. (Sorry, there's a character limit I just wanted to get that in)
The problem I have with the games are that they simply show images (like Rosetta Stone). You have the translations at the bottom (the top for some of the games, the bottom on some others) and unless I can match the words with the images I will memorize something stupid. For instance, on the adjectives game I could easily find myself memorizing the pictures and never the connections from the pictures to the word. "Oh, this one! It's the alien thing on the left!"
That's a fair comment. Although the aim with putting the translations out of the way is that you should only need them once, from then on just listening to the Japanese is fine. If you do make a mistake it's usually OK, once you really know a word it's easy to change the meaning you associate with it!
Oye sounds like fun I hope the site is still up xD, If you haven't already maybe u could add some small tests to it for those who really want to be confident and 100% on speaking the Japanese language well. ^_^
ARIGATO! for so long i've looked for a site that could help me learn japanese but none ever worked. Now after hours of looking i've finally found it!Thank u soooooooo much!!

Thank you for the nice words! If you look at the bottom of each game page I do go through all the words and translate them. BUT... the best way to remember them is to not look at the translations, but just play the game!
