I totally agree with Lira that New Zealand would be No. 1 in the relocation preferences. I said some years ago the South Island New Zealand would most likely the best place to be if the world went to hell in a hand basket but was always shouted down for it. @ivangrozny27 Nowhere is perfect but the GDP to debt ratio will mean didly squat post economic collapse and a sparsely populated place that is the size of the UK with just under a million people in a temperate climate with plenty of natural resources sounds like much better odds than the USA or UK once it all goes pear shaped. I am only speculating there could well be pockets within other countries that will have folk work together to make a cohesive society.

Finally someone has mentioned how America is losing its' freedom a little more everyday. The trend towards confiscating freedom from citizens really exploded with the passage of the USA Patriot Act and has continued ever since. Slowly but surely the noose is tightening on the American people. If I sell, I would not have enough to leave the usa. I know food shortages and riots loom. It took me two months to get out of BoA! Our system is corrupt and if I could afford to, I would leave tomorrow.

I wrote the letter to BoA saying, I quit you. Their fine print says it was what I had to do. After two months with no reply, I called. Reps great. I had not been able to access my online account. They did send me my balance in a check instead of depositing it into the Credit Union I joined. All I can do is what I do.
