  • I essentially agree with what was said...except for the bit about wanting the mic as close to the speaker as possible. That's just not so. You want the mic used to be close enough, but not so close that it gets in the way. The mic has a range. You want to be sure the speaker is within that mic's effective/useful range. Be careful about rules of thumb.

  • Thanks for the Vid... Great stuff...

  • It works great! Thanks :)

  • Thxxxx this is greatt!!!!!!!!!;)

  • I'm from Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and a professor in my university played your video during a media lecture. We all sat there watching you for 5 minutes. There's no point in me telling you this, I just thought you'd get a kick out of your worldwide reach.

  • Maybe I missed it but what app are you using to with your vid and italk ? Adobe something .... ? Thanks in advance. Great vid. Was looking for an inexpensive way to add commentary to my youtube vids.

  • i downloaded the app and read the features and it says that "Auto-noise cancellation (on iPhone 4)"

I have an iPhone 3gs... does that affect the quality or something coz i make videos of me singing

  • HOW COULD I NOT THINK OF USING MY PHONE TO RECORD AUDIO -___-

I really never thought of this. lol.

  • Thank you so much for sharing! Keep up the awesome work!

  • I thought from the header that this would not apply to me, but after watching it I just might try doing something like this.

  • what soundtrack are u using in this video? thx

  • Just did a test of this and while I don't have Premier so syncing audio is harder for me but I got it to work and it's really cool idea.

  • This is great but I disagree with one point...you said anything is better than on camera. NOPE lol I have an Olympus VN-2100PC digital recorder that is about 5 times WORSE than my camera mic! lol like I said this is great (just downloaded the app) but ANYTHING is not always better than camera mic.

  • @jmalonear ha true! I guess if you have a faulty or broken mic then that's true

  • lol never even though of doing that, LEE FOR THE WIN!

  • Awesome!

  • Lav mics cost just as much an iPhone.

  • @Fibr3Optix not if you already have an iphone. The point isn't to buy an iphone but to use what you already have

  • This is a really good idea, awesome thanks :D

  • A good Android app for this is Rehearsal Assistant...just be sure to go into the settings and choose the option for recording as an uncompressed WAV file.
