@bouncer07 I went to the track the 1st time ever, 2 weeks ago, and ran a 14.6 @ 95.96 mph. I launched at 2500 rpm and only powershifted into 4th. So i see no prob running low 14s the next time i go. Maybe even quicker if i get my launch down and powershift 3rd & 4th.
@skatecboy45 lol iono about the 350z, but i was trying to go for my best time. so far 14.862 quarter mile is my fastest. need to work on launch/ reaction time. (was my third time to the track)
@belizetj assuming your talking about the 350z, yes it should be running in the 13's and has been with another driver at 13.8, but this new driver clocked in at 14.26 as shown in the beginning as his estimate time.
@LauPacino Naw, im talking about the Civic Si. Mainly what the vid and description is about ^^^. Ive seen Stock Si sedans run low 14s: 14.0, 14.1, 14.2. So this Coupe with Intake and Header should be a little faster, somewhere between 13.4 - 13.7. And if u know the driver of the Si, tell him to turn the VSA OFF, launch at 5500 launch limiter @ 1/2 throttle, and floor it as the tires slow from spinning. He will shave a couple tenths off the 1/4 mile vs pussy launching like in this vid. ^^^
@belizetj lol... professional drivers get this car in the low 15's and high 14.9's at most stock. i had VSA off and launched at 3200 since i have some pretty bald stock tires/learning to launch, but according to your logic with the mods that u have (i/h/e/BFG g-force T/A KDW2 215/40/18 tires and "a few other mods") on your mugen si, u should run in the high 12's to very low 13's... have u done 1/4 mile yet? im quite skeptical that you will get anywhere near that, but i hope to be proven wrong.
@LauPacino (1/2) I have yet to take my car to the track. Im sure it does. I was young & cocky just like u when i first got my civic in 2007. I decided to stop trying to argue with people and listen for a change. By doing so, ive learned a lot. These cars have very little tq so they are made to be launched at high rpms. And car reviewers dont know what they are doing. They dump the clutch and floor it at 5500rpm. lol
@LauPacino (2/2) Btw in the vid my bfgs are bald (explains chirping hard & falling out of vtec in 2nd) and i still ran 0-60 in 6 sec (i can take a pic of my tires and post it on my flickr). When i launched at 3300 flored, it stoped spinning at 5900 rite b4 vtec when my tires where good i got 0-60 in 7 seconds. If u dont believe me i can repost the vid. It makes me look like a pussy not knowing how to launch my car tho. lol
@belizetj I have a 09 fa5 and stock i ran 14.6 powershifting all the way through and caught traction right in the powerband and trapped at 95.7 mph. If you honestly could pull up vids of a "stock si" running low 14's, street tires ect, i would love to see it and many others on 8th gen probably would to. I have exhaust, header and cai on a flash pro tune and ran 14.1 at 99.6 mph but some how you can tell me and him that a stock si could do this? Prove me wrong and post a vid of a stock si doing so
@LauPacino Not to be an ass hole but that was an embarrassment to the 350z. I have a HR Z which I know is different from the DE models and i ran a 13.2@108 mph (which is on video with time slips in my profile not just talk). 14.2? that kid needs some serious practice of clutch control, launch and shifting before he goes to the track embarrassing himself and the car.
pos both sorry my dog runs faster than that

@belizetj Sorry bro, but a CAI and Headers will maybe give you like 5whp if you're lucky. that won't take half a second off your 1/4 mile time.

@350zya1 Dang thoes would have to be some shitty ass intake and header.
