So, if you're going to charge that I contradicted myself, next time, provide a little bit more evidence than meaningless blustering that ultimately shows you have a poor grasp of both irony and the concept of absolution.

It would be lovely to see the world in such simple terms as you do, where there is always something clearly superior, which always just so happens to be what *you* believe in. Reading comprehension is very important, I suggest you brush up on it.

My statement said, in no uncertain terms, that a person's core set of beliefs and values determine what in life provides fulfillment to them. Some people and religions do not even recognize the concept of "light and dark" dichotomy that you are so quick to use as a basis for your statement that light is superior.

There are further questions to be raised about "falsehood" which isn't necessarily a widespread concept (in some cultures, falsehoods are an acceptable necessity of life.)

I was referring to the imaginary religious pulpit some have taken to that has nothing to do with even interpreting the song's meaning (which would be understandable). All the comments about god and religion are really unnecessary. Some people find meaning in religion, others find it through other things in their lives, some never find it at all. I know quite a few people that only found happiness after religion/god was expelled from their lives completely.

There are many paths to purpose and happiness, none of them are superior to any other, it's the looming dread that freedom represents that I interpret as the meaning of this song.

Jesus taught us that this life isn't supposed to be easy. Even the Son of Man Himself suffered so much. And in doing so, He showed us that out of suffering and hardship comes something amazing. Life, peace and happiness abounds. There is a book called LifeQuakes- God's rescue plan in hard times. (continued..)

@Kento617 ...I totally recommend this book if you have any spare cash. You can get it off Amazon. It is easy to read and explains why we struggle, how we can fully reply on God, and allows us to understand how it is His will for us to prosper through hardship and failure. There is always a moral greater good that comes from struggling, and God uses that so you can reply on Him and make you realise that He is the only answer to your struggles. I can tell you that He is. God bless you.
