When Bobby Jindal became governor of Louisiana, the state had been horizontal in economics, education, industry, tourism, etc for decades. In just two short years, he moved the state vertical in all of these key elements. When Hussin Apollo Obammmmma took office, 45 of the states were also verticle, now just two short years, all 50 states except Louisiana is horizontal! Jindal for president!

BP was laying off people before the oil disaster, and since they are not unionized, have no recourse. And what about all the business destroyed by this oil disaster?
We do not benefit from this oil. It goes into a world pool and can be sold to anyone. It does not specifically benefit the USA.

15 years on and off La. oilfield and I can tell you it will get bad here when all the rigs go overseas, which is starting to happen already. If people don't wake up and see the real implications of the moritorium they are just blind. Of course democrats are against off-shore drilling. They are against almost everything that would benefit our country. They care more about politics than whats right or wrong. And instead of offering any solutions of their own they resort to insults and lies. They have no honor or integrity, they can't even begin to know the meaning of the words. How much money have you personally received in benefits from the oil and gas industries, Governor? The moratorium only affects a handful of oil wells. BP was laying off people before the oil disaster, and since they are not unionized, have no recourse. And what about all the business destroyed by this oil disaster?
We do not benefit from this oil. It goes into a world pool and can be sold to anyone. It does not specifically benefit the USA.

The feds turned down help from country after country, which Gov. Jindal would have welcomed. He was trying to build some sand berms to protect the beaches, but the FEDERAL GOVT shut him down.

As for safety, we have benn drilling offshore for more than 50 years and have drilled more than 33000 wells and this is the first major problem........

It was the Democrats who fought the republicans and made the oil riggs go further out into DEEPER water, so no one would see them. If the oil riggs were in shallower water, then the oil could have been easier to STOP.
Obama also gave BP a FREE and CLEAR when it came to gov regulations and even gave them an AWARD right before the oil spill.
Don't you DARE say for ONE moment that Obama's hands are OIL FREE.
THEY AIN'T.

15 years on and off La. oilfield and I can tell you it will get bad here when all the rigs go overseas, which is starting to happen already. If people don't wake up and see the real implications of the moritorium they are just blind. You all think this will just affect me and my fellow Cajuns, but none of you realize just how far this will affect the nations economy. Petroleum is used for way more than just gas people.

Of course democrats are against off-shore drilling. They are against almost everything that would benefit our country. They care more about politics than whats right or wrong. And instead of offering any solutions of their own they resort to insults and lies. They have no honor or integrity, they can't even begin to know the meaning of the words. There have been some beneficial democrats in our past who helped this country greatly, but unfortunately that doesn't hold true in modern times.

@justxav If all of your adult life you did a certain type of work, lets just say like oilfield. Then one day some dumb ass came and put a stop to that. All of a sudden you don't have work and can't support you family, unemployment is very little compared to what you actually make as a skilled laborer. You can't find a job because unemployment is close to an all time low. And you could have been working but that one guy signed the paper to stop it all. would you be upset?
