  • Your video is so helpful, thank you so much

  • wow helpful

  • THANK YOU

  • y'know whenever I did that, which I knew a long time ago, my car instructor said I need to have both hands on the wheel. Why? Stupid Road Tests are more Dangerous than regular driving because no one is used to it... :P and one person/tester is different from another...

  • @boobie284 I love your comment. It's true. One rester is different from another.

  • seatbelts are the first aid to help

  • i understand

  • its best to carry it at all times

  • they are important

  • parents are the best teachers

  • use rear mirror

  • side mirrors and rear view mirrors must b used at all times

  • self taught

  • if he were wearing baggier clothes this video would be called "how to steel a car"

  • @DonkeySyrup thats was extremely ignorant

  • @TumbleTyme757 that's only because you don't have any knowledge of comedy. or you're black and if that's the case i'm sorry god accidentally burnt you...

  • @DonkeySyrup WOW

  • @TumbleTyme757 so you're black?

  • Great advice...but hard to put the right hand in that position for me...hope it doesn't screw up on my score...

  • Keep the steering wheel straight and the car will back up straight as long you don't let the steering slide by itself.

  • 100th like!!!!

  • Shit I thought it was a women

  • this guy belongs in the matrix

  • he's sexy lol

  • thank you for this post this is one of the very few things i get confused practicing to get my license.. i dont know why but i get confused on which way to turn my wheels in reverse. but this helped a lot :) hopefully i do it right this time.

  • you'll fail in Canada if you take your hands off the wheel, you can reverse without taking your hands off.

  • @MrSb8624 you sir are a tard. he doesnt take hands off he takes a hand off... cant do it with both hands on the wheel and be able to see clearly. tard

  • Thanks a lot for uploading this video Kevin...I learned a lot from you and I just got my license today...Thanks again.

  • is it okay to keep both hands on the wheel while reversing?

  • Hey guys, I have some problems reversing. I can hardly tell when the car is straight when reversing. I get confuse. Sometimes when I think I straightened out the wheel I end up parking slightly too much to either the left or right, I hardly even out the car. Any bright ideas?

  • @chillyt1 I use the side mirror closets to the curb to line up my back wheel with the curb... i was all over the place until my driving instructor taught me that trick... But as Enmity615 said you mainly have to look over your shoulder or they fail your ass ...

  • as long as your steering wheel is straight itll look as if it is bending since u are turned to your right, you should just hold it firm but not gripped, and you will go perfectly straight

  • @chillyt1 Use the little circle mirror inside of the side mirror. It will show you if you're parallel to the curb.

  • you automatically fail if you only use your mirriors! you can only use both but mainly you have to look over your shoulder...i cant keep straight though =(

  • which one is better ,turning back or using the mirrors :S ?

  • @thesufisoul It's always best to look where you're going, but sometimes I peek at the little circle mirror in the side mirror for guidance.

  • Thanks!

  • This is some good stuff!

  • this was extremely helpful. now i know why the dmv failed me on reversing. thanks!

  • THANK YOU!

  • you are my hero.....what was the number again

  • load of shit..its not a head reast u dnt rest ur head whilst driving...its a head restraint to protect your neck if there is an accident

  • it is a restraint, but you still call it a rest, its just easier lol no need to act big

  • hi, i live in france and i've just passed my driving test yesterday. Thax a lot for uploading this vodeo, coz it helped me a lot! thanx again

  • Forward not frontwards lol

  • okay I had a practice drive and I had to make basically a u-turn in reverse in a parking lot I looked through the rear window when i was backing but as I made the turn I looked through the side view mirror to be sure I didn't clip the curb... I was just wondering if this was the correct way to do it.

  • floor the fucker and hit reverse get the tires spinnin and when ure going around throw it in first and floor the fucker...

  • Hey Jaslo. I Live in Nova scotia, Canada. The prices are a little different here but tuition for drivers ed ( this includes everything you need for the education ) is 480 dollars. Than insurance depends on your vehicle but you can expect to pay anywhere from 60 - 85 dollars a month. ( with your drivers ed training ) Here for getting your license you have to get a beginners license, ( write a test ) and than in 3 months do a road test and redeem your full license. Hope that helped a little.

  • okay guys, serious question. im turning 16 in a few months, and would like to start drivers ed right away, but i know completely nothing. can someone please tell me the usual standard procedure of getting a license, how much tuition cost you, how much you pay for insurance, that type of stuff. i live in wisconsin, but im just looking for rough figures. any other tips and pointers are greatly appreciated too. thank you

  • well i didnt go to drivers ed my parents taught me but my friend went to this guy who charged $60 a day, to get ur license u need to take the permit test which consists of a written test (in missouri consists of 25 multiple choice questions and you have to answer at least 20 correctly), take a road sign test, peripheral test, and sight test. after 6 months u can take ur driver's test if ur 16 and get ur license. my insurance is $24($45 w/car) with good student discount so hope i helped

  • he didnt even move the car

  • shouldnt u be usin teh mirrors?

  • no, you're not supposed to

  • how stupid is that? for me its much easier with mirrors

  • My father was a truck driver for many years. he never turns around always uses his mirrors, but some people feel safer turning around to back up, it's easier for them, can't do that if you're driving a truck though.

  • That's the way I was taught.

  • I agree that not looking out of the mirror at all when backing up can cause accidents because at some positions you can actually see more so I think you should do both, but on the driving test they want you to only look back and drive in reverse the way this guy is showing us.

  • That's some pretty poor instruction to be honest. He's truly awful.

  • not on a road test ....you would fail if you didnt do it this way

  • It's not rocket science, so long you're safe you shouldn't fail for not dry steering. Dry steering damages the steering mechanism, all you have to do is get the car to move slowly then turn, then there is very little wear on the mechanism. But if you like expensive repair bills, dry steer away.

  • I like to use his method of reversal, I call it the MAN way of reversal, it makes you grab your passenger seat and tell the passenger you are in his HOUSE!

  • thanks so much. this was very helpful.

  • i got my G2 license yesterday! when reversing, you obviously have to look back where you're going not just your mirrors or you will fail rightaway!

  • Good grief! MORE vague instructions!! Slowly 'allow' the car to move back - what?? How? Do you ask the car politely? If this is instruction for beginners, explain HOW!!!

  • yeah I want to see him turning the wheel while he backs up.

  • i watched all of the vivd adn they were very helpful

  • will i need this for renewals

or just the first time test taking

i getting them after 20 years

  • I found this helpful

i am trying to get my licence

i have not had them in 20 yearsn

  • its a video for new drivers, so they don't get gigged on their driving test. soooo I really don't see the debate here.

  • Thats shit!Every good driver can drive car in reverse by mirrors!

  • That's how my instructor taught me in school, and i have my final test tommorow...I'm so unsure....

  • Look at all the snotty, and yet stupid English people on here making their BORINGLY predictable Anti-American comments. Seriously you tea drinking limeys, get some new material. Get some new teeth while your at it. LMAO! Hey aren't all the English people so superior? THEY CHOOSE TO DRIVE MANUAL CARS! Praise be unto them. Who the hell CHOOSES to drive a manual in 2009? But, what can be expected from England: A nation that still dries it laundry outside on clothes lines in nonstop rain. LOL.

  • You're a fucking mong

  • Don't be so aggressively defensive, serious American drivers always get manual transmission. You're just arguing with a 15 year old whose mouth is bigger than his brain.

  • lol driving "frontwards"?

  • when u reverse u can put one hand on the wheel and one on the head rest. when driving forwards two hands at ALL TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for the video.

quick question....i thought that when ur taking the test, u always have to have both hands on the wheel. so for going in reverse that rule doesn't apply? i mean, ppl drive with one hand all the time specially when reversing, they hold the head of the seat next to them like u showed, but what about when u go for the driving test? it's ok to use one hand on the wheel? please reply back. anyone. :)

  • It says in the DMV manual that you can remove one hand from the wheel when backing up so you can see behind you better.

  • thanks!! i wasn't sure about that.

  • Heh...That's why I lost points on my test a year ago lol I did the 30-foot backup using my mirrors instead of looking back. Although I've done it that way all the time and have never had a single problem...

  • very helpful thanx alot

  • I dont quiet understand the point facethunder is making (sarcastic?) but I think its a great tip. Especially for new drivers who are afraid and dont know what to do. Driving is scary, and some *cough cough* need all the help they can get. ^_^

  • Yeah it was a waste because we can TRUST people to keep looking when they reverse out and hit a freakin toddler let alone another car in a cramped parking lot.

  • awesome tip thanks

  • thanks good tip
