  • This piece of junk is still vaporware. Just goes to show you, don't get a stiffy over anything at Shot until things are shipping.

  • the silencer is okay.

  • that is really sick

  • 2:11 - Butt Scratch!

  • looks nice but I'd like to hear it at the range! Any chance of the 2nd video ?

  • @AusJackal

We are all big fans of VLTOR, so we will do more vids, we just haven't seen any of these at the range yet

  • @GunWebsites Thanks for the reply guys. I am looking forward to the range videos.

  • The ARFCOM AAC fanbois can suck my cock. Don't read any threads posted on ARFCOM full retard.

  • I think the concept is interesting. What I think is going to be surprising is if he can make it perform as well as a standard silencer. That means 30DB on the current market. The design shown looks like it adds 4.5" at most past the crown. They say it will take a 2.25" flash hider. That means 2.9" of baffle space is supposed to provide 30DB of reduction. From that perspective the design looks most like a BR TUOTE suppressor and those do 18-24DB. "DB Depends of FH" seems convenient.

  • Good luck. I can't wait to hear one. I am using Phantom flash hiders. AAC products are horribly expensive.

  • It won't be very quiet, but it is an interesting concept.

  • we'll see

  • Wow, you can test a suppressor by ear that has never been fired?

  • @phreakish1 Sure can! He said it would be "cheap and simple" and "not the highest efficiency". We already have one - the Tac 65. It is not quiet.

  • Cheap doesnt mean loud. Cheap comes down to quantity and manufacturing. Most materials used in average-performance cans are not expensive, what makes them expensive is that its a niche market.

As Eric said, its sheetmetal with only two machined parts. Those machined parts are the muzzle adapter and the mount in the tube, neither of which is overly complex.

Considering their parent company specializes in sheetmetal, I doubt it will be hard to come up with a quality solution.

  • @phreakish1 Ok, so a cheap, simple, short, inefficient silencer from a company not experienced in making silencers and it's going to also compete in sound performance with $1000 designs by experienced companies? That is absurd.

  • Simple, yes, most suppressors are actually simple.

Short? its in the same ballpark as most .223 cans at just over 8". Many other designs of this length also return over the barrel.

Not experienced? You obviously dont know much about the companie(s).

Absurd? not in the least, time will tell.

  • @phreakish1 You completely missed the point on it being "short". He FUCKING SAID IT WASN'T EFFICIENT. Got it? So if it is in the same ballpark size as others, and it ISN'T EFFICIENT, then it will not be quiet. Good lord you are a moron. Yes, that is a personal attack. deal with it. And no, Vltor is not experienced with silencers.

  • He said (meant) no claims of max efficiency. You're way off base. Way, way off base.

You obviously (once again) have little knowledge of the companie(s).

Let me guess, you spent way too much on an over rated can and are a bit butt hurt right now, right?

    Either way, you lose. G'nite.

  • @phreakish1 lol,not much difference between expensive and cheap Silencers if you open them up but what materials are used are the most important. The idea of the over the barrel,is to get the air to travel rearward,it would also need expansion holes on the rear to release the pressure or release the air after the blaster. There nt too effective and yes they are the size of a average can but I would bet ant any money that a average cans lengh coming straight from the thread is more quieter.

  • @whosthedaddy11 You obviously have no idea how suppressors work.

  • LMAO, "always stays tight" xD

god, sorry... i was just really aroused when i saw this vid and that made me LOL so hard xD great vid 5/5 lolz :')

  • Are you 12?

  • @CRL49 Actually, I'm 15. :D

Don't give me that "Don't joke around when talking about guns" bullshit :P

I really don't give a toss, I have a gun, I was horny when I saw this vid, what he said made me LOL. So just leave it at that, good sir. :)

  • Figured as much.

  • Its not 3/4 the way in, its barely 1/3 the way in. Also, the area around the barrel still gives expansion volume. The reason for having it mount OVER the barrel, is to reduce the added length, while still offering more volume. Also, since the can doesnt rely completely on the muzzle threads for alignment, it should stay better centered to the barrel.

  • @ phreakish1

    well said, thanks

  • @phreakish1 Your right there but it will still effect the Silencer as there is no expansion holes or any thing for the air to escape.A lot of these sell where I am in the UK but they are always longer and make up the lengh of a normal silencer, when they are effective,so pretty pointless but yes,it is better then nothing and if this sells for say $30-40 bucks, its worth a go.

  • @whosthedaddy11 You obviously have no experience with suppressors, or their purchase. Fail x2

  • How does that work??? The flash suppresor is like 3/4 thru the silencer don't see how that works well

  • Well you're obviously retarded.

  • why am i retarded can you please explain how it works if your IQ is so damn high

  • It's going to function whether you see it or not, read a book or something.

  • LOL no i was talking about the silencer how will it silence as well since it loses 3/4 its length going over the barrel i was not talking about the flash suppressor...

  • Go look for a video with a 50 cal suppressor

  • what would that prove? i know how a suppressor works all the gasses that come out expand into pockets inside the silencer so the sound of the explosion is reduced i just wanted to know how having so much of the silencers space taken up buy the barrel being inside of it how it would as effectively as a normal silencer where it attaches to the end of the barrel with more room for the gasses to expand that was my only point

  • @ BigSean1992

The suppressor does not need to be all in front of the barrel, many of the large caliber types go way back behind the muzzle.

It's all about volume, not placement in relation to the muzzle

  • @BigSean1992 Basicly,it delays the air but the hole idea is to have the rear vented so by the time the air bounces off the baffles and returns down the silencer and outer Barrel, the Bullet would be gone and so there for the full blast would not be heard (it would be delayed) and in this time it would cool down and be quieter. These can be effective but no where as near as a normal fitted one, unless it returned down the barrel further and it was vented. It will hide most of the flash.

  • @BigSean1992 I was looking at how far it went in too and I would say (keep away) as its based on the looks type of design rather then the multi baffled type which has always been the most effective type. This works more like a stripper and I recon it has 1,may be 2 baffles max, which is simply no good, while better then nothing, you could (if its cheap enough) add your own baffles???Now theres a Idea,I would think twice about fitting this to any thing big caliber as the metal may not last to long.

  • whats inside suppressors?

  • baffles

  • Baffles.

  • Magic... and gun monkies.

  • how much $ ?

  • @ ealnav

    no specific price yet

  • woooo hoooo

  • wow a average joe suppressor its about time way to go vltor.

  • ★★★★★

  • Bloke suppressor, lol i like that =D

  • VOLKS-suppressor. Deaf much?

  • In the video hes calling it the bloke suppressor as a...Kinda sell name cause its cheap and anyman can own one...

  • Trust me, he says 'VOLKS-suppressor', hence the VS-1, if it was 'bloke' it would be BS-1 which wouldnt sell very well :P

'VOLKS' as in 'volkswagon' means 'the people', hence a can for the everyman.

  • Lawl, BS one, rewatched video and your right =D

  • I know :D

Patiently awaiting test results from VLTOR and a release date now..

  • good video keep up the good work

  • pretty sweet!
