The Bush administration failed our country but personally I don't see a whole lot of difference with the new administration. If Dems were so against what Bush was though they should have cut spending. And Repubs should be just as ashamed. They had the power but not the will power to do what they knew was unpopular at the time and that is cut spending, cut spending and cut spending. AND NO STIMULUS. Great failure by both sides.
Both Dems and Repubs need to look back in history at what President Warren G Harding did when faced with a similar situation. His changes that he implemented got unemplyment down to 2.4% and cut the National Debt by 1/3rd. He stood his ground and said NO to stimulus and he let the recovery take place NATURALLY without govt spending. He CUT taxes on all income groups. IT WORKED.
Nope. We're in the long, dark, awful shadow of the Bush administration. Of Reaganism.
Classy how the cracker shithead from Indiana pretends Obama's countercyclical spending isn't a symptom of the Bush-era massive market failure at the heart of Shrub's craptastic legacy.
"Never Forget"...how intensely the GOP base idolized Dubya. Their "CEO President". Their "War Preznit". The great trickle-down tax cutter. Kenny Boy's good buddy. Mr Katrina.
You get a big kick out of it, well the American people are bankrupt because of the Bush administration. The Bush Administration was the worst in history and its going to be remembered for a long, long time buddy so get used to it.
Fucking republican hypocrites. The deficit is only good when military spending is a issue. Because by golly we have to a have strong military around the world to "protect are freedoms". What horseshit.
Barack Obama and the Dems could EASILY start cutting spending tomorrow. How?? It's a nifty little thing called PAY-AS-YOU-GO! If the Dems are afraid of cutting spending and manning up, they can just get rid of programs with equal or higher spending levels to be replaced by shit they want! It's so easy a Congressman could do it.
blah blah blah blah. Same old Washington blame game. One party gets in power and screws up, and the other side comes in trying to fix it but gets addicted to power, and then THEY fuck up. And then the other side says "I told you so!", as if they could do any better.
2 parties AREN'T ENOUGH! We need at least 3 or 4 major parties in this country. Hell, the 2 parties have basically formed a 1-party pro-military pro-spending pro-pork establishment that's tough as fuck to break.
And the "antiwar" Democrats, including Kucinich, have yet to move to massively cut military and defense spending and close down all these foreign bases we unnecessarily have in over 130 countries. Just goes to show you how little cojones they have as "representatives" of the people.
Kucinich tries but he is treated as a leper by his own party much the same way the Repubs treat Ron Paul. Because he is not in anyone's pocket and doesn't play the good ol boy game he gets brushed off. He just proposed a bill to tax bank exec bonuses 75%. Do you think his colleagues have the testicular fortitude to pass it. Doubtful.
D. Kucininch recently brought to light on CSPAN that US Contractors in Afghanistan are PAYING off the Taliban for safe passage so they can deliver their supplies to US soldiers who then fight the Taliban.
These US Contractors are paid with our tax dollars so we are inadvertantly aiding and abetting the enemy with our tax dollars through these contractors. Will his Dems act? Will Repubs act? A small fraction may try but the ones that make bank on the war will turn a blind eye to it.
they are still finding unfunded and underfunded bullshit. medicaid percsription without funding ad nauseum, and then u have the do nothing rep's who have,,,,, done nothing... but bitch, but thats what they are good at.
This, from a former republican.
and no I am not a dem.
Dont care if bozo is running third party, he has my vote.
This is why we have to lock up these criminals in Washington.

Yeah, the Bush administration was horrible. But, if you think Bush was bad, why do you love Obama? Or, do you feel the same about Obama?

I feel pretty much the same about Obama. All he's got is "Chump Change".
