Any contact could lead to a accusation that would lead to court, and possibly missed work. Then he could lose his job and not be able to pay his child support which is a crime. So in his head his options are: put up a fight, and possibly go to jail/lose job/ not be able to provide for his son, or stop contact.

The woman accused the man of trying to kill her and their son, and she suffers no punishment for those disgusting lies; Steve shows exactly how the system works, it's filled with manginas and hypocrites. The criminal got away with everything and was treated decently, while the victim was mocked and reprehended. No wonder he didn't do more to see his son, it's a fight he wouldn't win. If when a man is guilty he goes hard on them, then he should do the same when it comes to a woman, because by not doing it so, it only encourages some type of women to continue with this kind of actions, because they'll know they can get away with it. If Steve really wanted to help the man, he should have read her test, so he could take the tape to court and fight for custody.

Usually the judge gives preferences to the woman, and to a certain extent I agree, because a woman is usually mentally and biologically more prepared than the man to be a parent, but this is definitely not the case. We have a woman that has used the system to her own selfish needs, not considering her son's needs to have a father figure in his life, and that's not being a good parent.
