He was star of the 1970 world cup (when Cruyff was already making his name, before peaking), Pelé made Santos best club in the world (won x2), he scored a hat-trick v Euro champs Benfica away to thrash them for the Intercontinental Cup. I agree Cruyff was magnificent, certainly above Maradona, but Pelé was the complete player, scorer and achiever.

That's right. But Cruijff won 3 times Europa Cup 1. He won Supercups, National Championships, World Cup, National Cups. Made Ajax, Barcalona and even Feijenoord national champion. And became later a succesfull trainer. Like Maradonna and Pele he became a international superstar but he is the only one who lifted the game to a higher level.

I too young to remember when any of these three were playing, but when you look at things in perspective Pele only played in the Brazilian league and never played in Europe, winning two world cups with some of the greatest teams in history. Whereas Cruyff won several European cups and Maradona single handedly led Argentina to victory. You get the feeling that Brazil would have won the 1958 and 1970 world cup whether Pele played or not, whereas Argentina would'ny.
Cruijff was magical, he invented a new style of football, and played at top flight football for ajax, and so did diego maradona but he was special, the things he could do with the ball was unbelieveable, and pele lived in an era where there wasn't much competition, and he never played in europe.

He was star of the 1970 world cup (when Cruyff was already making his name, before peaking), Pelé made Santos best club in the world (won x2), he scored a hat-trick v Euro champs Benfica away to thrash them for the Intercontinental Cup. I agree Cruyff was magnificent, certainly above Maradona, but Pelé was the complete player, scorer and achiever.

That's right. But Cruijff won 3 times Europa Cup 1. He won Supercups, National Championships, World Cup, National Cups. Made Ajax, Barcalona and even Feijenoord national champion. And became later a succesfull trainer. Like Maradonna and Pele he became a international superstar but he is the only one who lifted the game to a higher level.

I too young to remember when any of these three were playing, but when you look at things in perspective Pele only played in the Brazilian league and never played in Europe, winning two world cups with some of the greatest teams in history. Whereas Cruyff won several European cups and Maradona single handedly led Argentina to victory. You get the feeling that Brazil would have won the 1958 and 1970 world cup whether Pele played or not, whereas Argentina would'ny.

bueno mi humilde opinion ,para mi PELE es el mejor de los tres tecnicamente hablando ,miren la facilidad con la que eludia jugadores ,no requeria de mucho esfuerzo fisico 7 :12, era un superdotado ,les recomiendo ver la pelicula Pele Eterno .maradona era una bestia , es el mas agil y habilidoso de los tres en su mejor momento era imparable y cruyff (mi preferido ) hacia gala de su potencia fisica y tecnica en velocidad endiablada ,futbol total amigos nada mas,una maquina . los 3 eran monstruos.

yo lo único q miro en Pelé es a un jugador con una técnica muy buena pero inferior a la de Maradona y hasta la de Ronaldinho, usaba demasiado las dos piernas y su modo de chutar no era elegante. Pelé siempre jugó en ekipazos q constaban de grandes estrellas, por ello ganaba tanto y marcaba tantos goles, jugaba a veces hasta cuatro ocasiones x semana en muchs partids amistosos, y sus goles oficiales son poco mas d 700

Maradona era mejor definidor que Johan Cruyff, o sea, le pegaba mejor, ambos tuvieron el juego más vistoso estéticamente del fútbol mundial y yo creo que sus dribleos están más o menos al mismo nivel. Pelé...bueno, un goleador, jugó en otra época; fue muy completo, pero no impresionante técnicamente. Técnicamente, Maradona y Johan Cruyff fueron superiores. Pelé es superior en títulos y goles conseguidos, lo cual, no es razon lógica para darle titulo de mejor jugador.

Un gran, enorme jugador, aún más sobrevalorado porque hay gente que confunde el numero de titulos o goles con los méritos técnicos. No hacía todo. Reconozco que es difícil para un fanatico argumentar sólidamente, pero tus afirmaciones no se hacen verdaderas a fuerza de repeticion. Cruijf y Maradona darían vuelta 100 veces a pelé en la cancha en enfrentamiento uno contra uno. Es así, te guste o no.

La diferencia más grande entre los tres es que Maradona es muy más veloz, pero parte por fuerza de la epoca en que jugó. La unica medida objetiva son los numeros, tu a dicho de tecnica sin definirla. La generación brasileña de 1958 abrió el camino para todos que veniran. Tu puedes decir que Garrincha era más tecnico, pero que es tecnica?

Los numeros no tienen emociones. Si iba a dar vuelta, si iba a juga bien hoy, son hipoteses impossibles y emocionales. Fintas son inutiles en el futbol, pero pele las hacia bien. La mejor forma de evaluar pelé y otro más "skilled" es compararlo con su colega garrincha, hay 64 partidos juntos. Además es emocional.

@pppaulo1 Qué es técnica? La técnica deportiva es el procedimiento físico y fisiológico que implementa el deportista para cumplir un fin determinado. Maradona hizo goles de media cancha (!!!), hizo goles superando desde media cancha a mas de seis jugadores, y eso era habitual, si ves Mexico 86 o su etapa en el Nápoli. Cruyff fue algo semejante, con verdadera magia individual. Sócrates dijo :"Yo solo habia visto lo que Maradona hizo en el campo de futbol en el circo". Creo que eso define su juego

@alwaritzmi (Perdón mi español) Es una definición buena. Pero para tener una forma non subjetiva (portanto sin emociones) de compararlos, hay que tener formas de medida, o opiniones de expertos para darlos notas, como se hace en la ginastica. Y no estamos hablando de vitorias: el futbol son 11 y pelé y maradona tuvieran más fortuna que Cruyff en ganar copas. Eso es profundamente injusto para jugadores defensivos, que tienen otro tipo de maestria, dificil y atletica. Tu no a visto Pelé en 58.
